The Oct. 2009 ACT version 69B thread....

I had version 69B, and it is nothing like what is being posted on CC from what I can tell. The booklet was purple, and I'm in Ohio, if that matters.

English:
Gertrude who swam the English Channel
something about 3-D technology

Reading:
Artist for humanities
Global warming interview
carbon reaction science passage

Science:
something with voltage/ampheres
argument passage with blue dye in water/DCM

Math:
Nothing particularly notable, although 20 time-consuming questions were in it.

This will hopefully become a discussion thread for this test version, if anyone else on CC had it.

Did you have an extended time one? That could be the verdict, I had 69A like everyone else

^nope, no extended time. Just a regular old test.

Hmm thats weird, typically the ACT is uniform throughout the states, maybe their implementing something new but who knows…

69B? You said it was a regular test, so no standby testing, or anything else? I’ve never heard of them giving two different tests on one testing day.

i had 69F. and i’m in ohio with standard time conditions too. there were like five different color booklets in my room at least.

^Yeah, that’s the way my room was.

Yay for being in a “guinea pig” state ???

yea not yay. they better not mess up with all the different forms. or take forever to grade them. no one here has any of my questions :(

Hmm… that is pretty weird. Maybe you should contact the ACT corporation just to make sure you recieve them on time. Since they gave different packets throughout all of your class, I doubt they can say you were cheating.

I had 69D but it’s the same as everyone else

Was it with or without writing? I don’t think it makes a difference but in my testing room the ACT without writing packets were purple while the ACT plus writing was red.

I got 66D I think and the science section was the same as yours, but I was testing in an international test center…
Anyway I guess they probably put different questions on the same test day, since none of the questions I got were the same as most people on CC say

hmmmm…very interesting…wonder if college board will jump on board with this as well…
well, at least if ACT releases all of these versions there will be more practice exams for the youngin’s who haven’t taken this yet…

did you all have the same essay?

yup, i’m from ohio too (perhaps it was just ohio that got so many different versions of the test…) my cover was green.

i took it without writing.
did anyone have these questions?

English:
horses for physical therapy
indian kid talking about bangledesh and stuff
california mural

reading:
police officer at a train station
penguins and ecotourism

science:
respitory system/breathing charts
CH4 emissions from plants
different weight balls on a U shaped thing

im from ohio too!!! and i got the same testt as you qwt. but i know there where other colors in my testing room. i saw red and purple books. i had a green one

^Yeah, my book was purple, and I saw red, green, and blue books, as well.

I had 69D…

for anyone who took the green test, how many of the last 5 answers for science where C? i ran out of time on that one.

lol, i do NOT remember that…jeeez haha
