The Fat Letter doesnt give you anything about housing assignments. ED candidates do get priority in housing because they sent in their deposit earlier -- I'm pretty sure the priority follows the order in which the recieve your deposit.

Has anyone received anything regarding financial aid? I was accepted ED to the CFA and according to the website they have received all of my paperwork...just wondering if anyone has gotten anything.
Um..here are my Stats:

College of Fine Arts - Music
Math-670 Verbal -630
(No SAT II's required, but I took Bio/Chem/Writing/Math IC)
EC- Strong, worked 20+ hours a week since summer of freshman year, numerous musical ensembles, NHS, MAT, SHS
Phone Call- No, but I did receive a letter saying that I was accepted to the Music Department prior to receiving an acceptance letter to the University.

that is rude to say about the Humanities school. Although Carnegie Mellon is not distinctly known for this school, the English and Creative Writing programs are prestigious and are excellent as double majors. Do not be bitter because you only got accepted there and say that you doubt anyone did want to enroll there.

I'm sorry about your being waitlisted and rejected from the other schools you applied to."

I'm sorry about that. I was only thinking about history when talking about Humanities. I forgot about the english part. The only reason I said what I said is that I've heard that Humanities plays second fiddle to engineering and the colleg of science.

Hey! ( I know I put this up on another thread but...)
I received the Andrew Carnegie Scholarship, and CMU says that it's their most presitigious scholarship. I'm not complaining or anything, but I knew someone who says she got a full ride to CMU. Who's telling the truth here?

I had to read that sentence twice. Thinking about it, if you put down what I thought you did, (my mind is in the gutter), that would have been one hell of an application.

My friend got in and he's international. He got his letter a couple days ago. He ripped up the letter because he told me he didn't want to go. How messed up is that.

tenniscraze... i'm totally with you. At this point, I have to say it sounds like no news is BAD news. funny how it's usually opposite. Other people have been saying the same thing though so I'm trying not to hold my breath.

I called yesterday, they said my letter just came out of committee and should be being sent today. :-
