lucky you! haha. i usually go to bed at about 12 or so, so this isn’t that far past my normal bed time. i’m not really tired though so i’ll keep forging on until my brain can’t possibly feed in any more information. then i’ll either a) watch the cooking channel until 6, or b) stare at the walls for a solid hour or so, or c) luckily sleep for a small but amazing amount of time. ah, and they say the high school years the the greatest of your life. pure BS! DX

can any one tell me if the princeton’s test are like a little bit harder than others??? I did Kaplan’s, Barron’s, and Princetons and did good in all 3 but went from 62 in Kaplans 58 in barrons and 54 in Princeton after taking out wrong #s but idk I found Princeton’s practice tests harder, anyone knows how accurate it is compared to AP test?

to chocobok;

actually, the cotton gin was invented in 1793. just thought id point it out.

@terminator: I took Ap World last year. I found Barron’s to be ridiculously specific, Kaplan’s to be a little too easy and Princeton’s to be sporadic - some too easy, some too hard. On the whole, I found the actual AP exam to be considerably easier than the prep questions. Also, don’t know if you’ve done it, but I also found the AP World Sample Exam from the collegeboard to be hard.

Anybody have any links to good practice tests for the AP exam online? I’ve already exhausted Princeton Review and Sparknotes, but I’m still not satisfied with my scores.

^ yeah im looking for some good practice online too…

[Free World History Practice Tests](Free World History Practice Tests)

This site is pretty legit. I used it for AP U.S. History. It’s a collection of practice tests/quizzes.

anybody know how the practice tests in barrons and 5 steps to a 5 compare to the actual exam?

On the exam, are there a lot of questions regarding religion, like comparing and contrasting different aspects of religions? I took the Sample Exam from CollegeBoard today and it was pretty hard…got a raw score of 46.

did anybody do the test yet ?

^ what test?

All of you guys sound really prepared… Im really worried about the test, and I dont even think I should take it (even though my parents insisted)

My teacher ‘taught’ our class like a college course. We would read the chapter from our textbook, take a quiz- do this for about 4 chapters, then take a test, with watching 1-2 documentaries on the subject. My teacher never had a discussion, lecture, or any notes on the topic we were studying. I didnt read that much, because the book was long and I had other things to do. Now I feel like Im going to get a 1 on the test because I basically dont know anything.

(edit- and I didnt realize, until now, how much help there is on APWH, which probably would have improved my over all grade by teaching myself through online help)

I borrowed a Barron’s book from a friend, which I received on Friday, and theres no way for me to possible read and obtain all of the information.

Does anyone have a website or know of any KEY FACTS that are essential to know for the exam?

Also, for those who have already taken the test, did you encounter an essay topic that you had no idea what to write?? And what did you write about or if you just BSed it

@ rawr

I disagree about the Barron’s book and not being able to read and obtain the information. If you had started on Friday you would be more than fine. The weekend before the AP Bio test I sat down and read the entire thing, from cover to cover, since our teacher was pretty bad and everyone fell asleep during her “lectures”. I’m fairly confident I scored a 5 on it.

Well its hard for me to sit down and concentrate on reading a bunch of text. Also, when Ive read the WH Book I would not be able to retain the information for the quiz, even if I took notes.

Im assuming that your a good student and is able to absorb information better than myself.

If I did read everything, Id probably completely blank before the test or completely mix up my facts.

If you teacher was bad, then did you just get all of your information from the book? Because thats basically what I had to do, and I dont remember a lot of the facts.

wasn’t meant for me, but tyvm NYEM for that second link.

tomorrow the apwh, are any one of you really prepared? Me, I put most of my time studying for AP Calc and AP Chem. Since I bought the PR, I going to try to read the whole essential part today.

NYEM is full of win. Ty so much.

I haven’t studied not once today. Just chillin’ hahahaha. I’m sure all of us will make at least a 4 on this exam. Plus World History is like one of the least significant APs so don’t stress out.

sadly only about 9 percent receive a 5 on the exam. I just hope on the FR, there won’t be any modern era (1900 to now) topic. I pretty weak on that.
