@DrAhumada: Thanks for the link. I have actually taken some art and art history classes and have a core GPA (in art-related classes) of about a 3.8. I am UC-transfer-eligible and have completed all general education at UCI (so I will obtain a Letter of Reciprocity for that soon.) I will probably be admitted to the studio art major there about a month and a half early, and I am currently taking classes for that major right now, with plans to continue that course of study into spring. The timing was not great (since my need to transfer to San Diego was precipitated by personal circumstances over which I have no control), but I do have a strong academic history in major-related courses, and I will have the equivalent about the first year and a half of core art courses at UCI complete by the time I transfer, although there don’t seem to be any specific prerequisites for a studio/visual arts major at either university.

Can anyone tell me how negatively/positively a Pass as opposed to a potential B in a non-major class I’m taking for a GE will effect admission into Berkeley? I’m considering this because anything less than an A- would dramatically drop my GPA.

im trying to transfer from ucsd to ucb. will finish prereqs this quarter. i have a lot of units (130 after this quarter including 36 ap units) although its only my second year attending ucsd.

I wrote a phenomenal essay and did a small research project that I mentioned in my essay. What are my chances? Specifically for Cal, seeing as they are the #1 program in Chemistry

soooooo, anyone else here gettting super impatient for UCSD to send out notifications?!?!?!?!?
lol, btw, ive noticied a lot of other ucr transfers, like myself

Good luck guys. Many (most) of you should get in where you want if you completed the pre-reqs and have solid grades. I transferred from UCSC-Cal last year and it has changed my life. Try to stay calm during these very stressful/exciting days.

When you say completed prereqs by spring , you mean spring quarter…?? Or winter quarter? (cc only has spring semester while uc has winter and spring to consider)
