Haha nice SC seems awfully lenient! I have my permit woohoo =)

Not really.

None of you can drive in my state. Only people with SC permits can drive in SC. And since none of you have a license, none of you can drive here. XD

So who’s excited about the class of 2011??!?!?!

NJ license rules are horrible.
permit at 16, restricted at 17, full at 18… and now they want to put bright orange stickers on the cars of anyone under 21

And what purpose would that serve?

^ To alert other people on the road that you’re inexperienced.

They have the same concept in England, only you have a “P” (or something along those lines) on your license plate.

Here in Idaho you can get your license at 14, but that’s for farming kids only.
Everyone else, you can get your actual license by 15, but you have to have a certain GPA (I think that’s just bull ****. Another one of the punish the honors/AP kids while letting the kids in slacker classes get off.), and no disiplinary actions.

^Idaho is with like only 4 other states that let fourteen year olds drive.

But can’t you get a license to let you drive to/from school at 14? That’s what one of my friends told me…

I haven’t used my license at all. =( My dad’s terrified that his insurance won’t cover me.

I’m not sure about that actually. We all live close to the school, so it doesn’t matter. Maybe when you get out to the redneck hick towns where they don’t get the busses. I should ask my farming cousins. They’d know. Out there the 8 year olds can drive better than most of the high school kids I know.

I can’t get my license. Can’t pass the vision test, and glasses/contacts/surgery/whatever don’t help. So, I don’t completely follow the process of getting ones license too well here.

Mainly so they can pull you over for the various restrictions they put on new/restricted drivers, like one non-family member in the car and no driving after 11 pm

in CA if under 18,
- you can start driving classes at 14 and 11 months
- get permit at 15 1/2
- rack up 50 hours of day and night practice w/ parent or guardian, or someone 25 or older w/ legal driving licence
- apply when finished, but its a restricted licence

got my license! boo ya =D

This thread is made of win.

I’m in MA, and I’m still 15 (turning 16 on may next year. and yes, I am in the class of 2011).

But I look like if I was 17, so I still take my dad’s car sometimes

^^Congratulations on getting your license!:)
