If the SAT scores were everything there's not a chance in hell I would have gotten in. I'm pretty sure I will have the lowest SAT score of any admitted student this year (there is a weird reason as to why its so low but thats for later)

If you didnt get in, it means nothing. The applicant pool is so self selecting for this place that most likely you will get into a place that is absolutely fantastic. And honestly I think that when you're into the top institutions, you make the difference not the college.[/ul]

"I have NO idea how I got in"

I'd guess it has something to do with the near perfect SAT and ACT scores and 4.0 GPA :)

Congratulations.

^^^Could be! Could be!!

I got admitted twice with a 2080, 2030 isnt all that low, especially if you have a sink in writing which is not looked at as much as the other two sections. Though kudos for getting in as an international; thats very tough.

^^Thanky...My writing section was the dip but my Math section was only 700...Because...and this is good...I skipped one question but filled in the circle for that question number. So every single question till the end of the section was wrong I think. By the time I realised I couldnt change it.

[li]Advice? Commiserations? Feel like bragging?:
[/li]

I have to admit I was extremely worried and stressed before Harvey Mudd's decision came in, having been rejected by a handful of the schools I'd applied to. All I can say is I agree with dhruv entirely. If you're strong enough to consider Harvey Mudd, a few rejections should mean nothing; you'll no doubt end up successful wherever you go. Don't let admissions get you down for too long. When you're enjoying life and doing great things next year, you'll realize how pointless stressing over colleges really is.[/ul]

^^^I am not too sure if unicyclying counts for admissions but that is WAY cool...I am quite jealous of people who can Unicycle...everyone can skateboard :(

Accepted

Subjective[ul]
[]Essays: Stellar; I had to with the GPA that I have.

[li]Advice? Commiserations? Feel like bragging?: Anything can happen; it's all about knowing who you are, what you want, and how the school you're applying to meshes with the such. Do your research and make connections with people who have a say in your decision. Knowing your stuff is imperative for top schools such as HMC.[/ul]
[/li]

Just wondering: did anyone else get a note from Ms. Briggs [or someone else] on his/her acceptance letter?

PS: I'm in MA, and I received my envelope in the mail today.

I got in (Hawaii), but I personally don't post stats.

I'm guessing people got a personalized note? My note was about a future statistics project on fantasy football (my common app essay).
