This question has been posed in several other threads, but I haven't seen it answered. There are a bunch of us who haven't gotten anything from USC, so do any alumnis or people know if this is true? Do certain schools (like cinema-television) take longer then others? If you applied at the deadline, will it naturally take longer.

Someone help...

I don't know the answer to this but I really don't think people should be freaking out. Some people have heard from cinema-television and not USC itself, some people have heard from USC but not from specific schools, I really don't think it means anything. My application to cinema-television was really late because i found out about the program after the deadline had already passed, and i've already heard from them, while my actual USC application got to them like a week before the deadline and I still haven't heard from them. I think people should stop panicking and just wait patiently. You'll find out when you find out. They have a ridiculous number of applicants so obviously people are going to receive things at different times.

Chiquita, were you accepted?

I think that the final mailing will include both acceptances and rejections, so you have a decent chance right up to the end. This is just speculation, though.

I agree with intelliot. I think we have to assume that they're fairly disorganized, however organized they try to be, and that they're not as systematic as everyone thinks. so not having heard from them yet shouldn't be interpreted as something deep and meaningful. And in answer to deathbydedalus - I was accepted to writing for screen and television, but I still haven't gotten anything from USC admissions... which is interesting since it said in my letter from the cinema school that my acceptance applies only if i'm accepted to usc itself as well. man would it suck to get rejected now... what did you apply to? have you heard anything yet?

Yeah, I agree with you both. Right now has to be hectic for them, and I'm not really expecting anything until about the fourth. Chiquita - I applied to Production, I think that was my life's greatest moment of masochism, as I find myself doubting my likelihood more and more. Good luck, chiquita, I'm sure you'll get in...
