When I try to check my decision online...my old (Deferral) letter is still posted...Are we not gonna be able to check online? Or are they going to post our new (and hopefully improved!) decision letter?

Good Luck Everyone!

Good Luck Everyone!

I was wondering the same thing. I would think they'll just change and post a new one? Hopefully...

They'll post the new accept/reject/waitlist letter in place of the other one.

I really really really hope I get in....but hope is fading...

Did everyone who was deferred write to the admissions committee to update or plead your case? I did...but I won two athletic awards since December...

Anybody else?

ooh congrats. I sent in a few things, but I didn't actually write anything, although my counselor did. I can't wait any longer!!! People that I never told about my applying to Duke are asking me about it... it's making me anxious.

Yeah...I also sent in an extra teacher rec from my AP Physics teacher...

I probably irritated the heck out of the admissions office...

Lol, i wasnt deferred, but i sent a few letters into the office in early March telling DUke about my accomplishments and new goals since January...lol :)

After being deferred, i decided to ignore this site for a while. I guess I came back for the fun of it. I had a little scare with that admissions post, but what can you do? I wrote to my admissions officer and she was no help whatsoever. She quoted from the deferred letter and never really helped me. I sent stuff, so I guess I still have a fighting chance. Still, I could go to Georgia Tech or Michigan...... NOPE Duke all the Way!

Do other "deferees" still have only their deferral decision letter on their status page? Or do you now have the March 30th date and button?

the first thing

i sent in another letter after i was accepted and it helped me get invited for a scholarship weekend. after that, i sent 2 more letters. i'm sure the extra stuff can only help you. :)

how many of oyu were deferred from engineering?

i sent in a couple of letters and an extra rec..

im even native american and they don't want me, tear.. shouldn't have applied BME..

i got deferred from engineering too...didnt send a formal letter, just told them i scored in the top 3% of the country for the AMC (american mathematics competition) and qualified to take teh AIME...got into michigan, maryland honors and lehigh with a boat load of money...still waiting on cornell and upenn (not too optimistic, but whatever)...when is duke's final decision posted online?...march 30?

yep, march 30 at 7

i can't find the search button.. and idont want to make a new thread as it has probably been asked a lot..

but does anyone know if duke compares people from the same high school?
everyone else at my high school applied to trinity though.. so i guess i shouldn't be compared to them..

No, the only school I know that explicitly does that is Brown.

one final gl u guys rule and we all deserve this i mean this was our first choice

Good luck all deferrees (is that a word?)!

Everyone post your results when you hear tomorrow night! I am anxious to see how the deferred kids were treated! Good luck!
