So, after much over-analysis of an e-mail, I have come to the decision that I am 90% that I have been deferred by my EA school and 10% sure I have been rejected. It is very disappointing indeed, and it’s been very hard not to cry. I don’t know how I’m going to handle myself on Friday.

I hear back Saturday (MIT) and Sunday (CMU)

condor, congrats!!! what school?

@collegeluva, was that Harvard you applied to EA? I looked at your Chance thread and came to that conclusion. I really thought you could get in with the stats you had. It’s hard to wonder what it actually takes if such a strong applicant like you didn’t get in. Even if you get deferred, it’s still possible a spot would open up for you. I’m really sorry if you’re sure you got deferred. I’m sure you will still get into many of the schools posted on your thread, it’ll be hard to wonder a situation that wouldn’t. I would really like to see the email lol if you would like to post it if that’s allowed. Good luck. :)

i just want to hear back from MIT

I’m getting really on edge about these decisions

I just want to sleep for the next week

Even though I’m not even close to being in your situations, I found that to stave the anxiety away, one thing you can do is to keep yourself occupied. Keep doing things, it helps you keep your mind off the one thing which you want to know the most. Don’t be bored, or else you’ll be unwilling to do anything and you’ll go through severe anxiety.

Reaaaaaaaaaaaally just want to hear back from Yale. Next Tuesday can’t come soon enough.

Eeeeeeeeeeeeeeep

Yayitsme, I got into Middlebury. Go Panthers !! I bought a sweatshirt at my visit but kept it in my drawer until the official word, so today was the first day I got to wear it. Didn’t want to jinx it up until now.

I had heard on the Midd ED board that some kids were getting their decisions but I was having trouble with our computer. Sometimes the router in our house slows down for no good reason and it will drive you crazy. I had to just leave it at home and go out to someplace I had to be where I could not check my phone, then afterwards checked my phone in a parking lot and got the news. It was crazy because I wanted to call everyone but I had to get in the car and drive for like an hour so instead of crashing the car I waited until I got home to tell everyone. Talk about best ride home ever - I will now forever remember every song on the radio!

Sorry I am still sounding a little caffeinated - I just had a great day at school. Best.

That’s a great story!!! I’m so excited for you Middlebury is an awesome school too

4 days till MIT, 5 till CMU O_O of course I hear from my two top choices in the same weekend…

Good luck, Yay. I am still here. I can’t quite quit this site cold turkey just yet. Getting results in from my school, though. One kid is going to Harvard to row. Another one is going to Stanford for track. Other kids are into some schools but still waiting on their reaches for a while. Best luck to everyone.
