<p>Seems like we've been leeching off of the "CC versus GS" thread. Here is our own thread.</p>

<p>My status: Accepted as a Fall 2009 transfer, got financial aid info, and now am going nuts waiting on my transfer evaluation. I hope finishing the associate's degree program helps... Would hate to have to take the college placement test again, or do the math stuff over, unless it was for a higher level math than the one I took at my local college. I don't have to worry about housing since I'll be commuting from my current residence. Spoke to my boss about moving my hours around/going to part-time status, since Columbia isn't very "day worker" friendly (don't seem to be too many options available for night class) Told the family about everything, so we'll be making some adjustments on our end to ensure that the ship runs smoothly.</p>

<p>Yeah, the waiting games continues… I also hope my transfer evaluation will be good. I still haven’t heard about financial aid because apparently, I was randomly selected for financial verification. I’m coming from nearly 2,000 miles away but I’m number 250 something on the housing waitlist because I turned in my housing application late. There was no way that I could have turned in the forms on time because my admission packaged was mailed to me nearly a week the after the deadline…</p>
