Where did you guys get your UCLA ID number?

@lindyk8ā

Iām starting with UCLA!

A rep is visiting on thursday at my school and having a workshop, if its the one i usually stalk ill ask em about friday/saturday.

Its too soon in my opinion lol! Scary

@sonic23ā

UCLA has released decisions on similar dates before. In 2012, they released decisions on the 20th of April, which fell on a Friday that year. So, maybe itāll be the case this year. Letās hope!

I have always wonder why UCLA hasnāt announce its decision date. Itās Tuesday already, and if we all speculate that it will come out this Friday/Saturday, should it at least announce it already?..

@lkm291ā

I suspect it has something to do with the fact that UCLA receives the most transfer applications of any UC. They probably donāt want to commit to a date too far in advance because they have so many applications to read. In fact, I think theyāre still reviewing peopleās applications now since they always claim every year to release most decisions in one day but still have a few decisions to release up until May.

Just speculating, though.

Hey just thought Iād let you guys know UCSB released decisions already. I checked this morning and Iām in! Superb backup in case it doesnāt work out here.

You guys probably wait until this Friday to seeā¦ I registered a math class but I am not gonna go because I will do REU this summerā¦ Will drop the class later

HI guys, I talked to undergraduate admissions today, and the guy i spoke to said the decisions would start coming out in 5 days. so I dunno, if thats business days or whatever, but there ya go

I donāt want UCLA to come out the same day as UCI, UCSD and UCD. Itās just too much pressure. Better to absorb first round then have UCLA come out the next day. It needs itās own day for reflection and prep.

So by Monday? Ahh I kind of wished it was BEFORE the weekend.

@gingdeeā
He probably didnāt mean 5 ābusiness days.ā :P

Well, it seems more and more likely that UCLA will release decisions between the 18th and the 21st. Basically, sometime over the weekend.

Still, none of this is official.

I think UCLA admissions officers refuse to officially confirm far in advance when decisions will be released just so that they can watch us suffer from anxiety on this forum and in this thread. Every year, they delight in our suffering. 8-|

I agree @cayton, although I really think a lot of the vagueness is they donāt know how many applicants they will get. Last year, I believe, they set a date and then changed it. Plus, results in general come out based on tier I have noticed.

Merced may have used that reverse psychology tactic when they decided to delay their release, but it didnāt work.

@lindyk8ā

Indeed, last year, UCLA stated that it would release decisions on April 19th, but then pushed it back to the 26th. Thankfully, there are no signs so far that they will repeat that this year.

Also, in my BruinsBill I can see I have a $1784 balance dueā¦ Anyway, I will see if I get admitted. I will probably go to Berkeley if admitted by both schools

Hey guys. Okay so I just realized I put the same class twice on my application so it shows that Iām short on units (3 unit class). Do you think itās too late to email ucla and notify them of this mistake ? Will they still put it in consideration ? Iām a strong candidate and I donāt want to risk being rejected over a small mistake! Please let me know!

Under financial aid awards it says that they requested they received my FAFSA information from the processor today; and the request and status date is 4/15/2014ā¦ This is on the MyUCLA account.

Alright guys, so I have a friend who is working in the call office for UCLA, and they call the freshman and transfer admits. She told me they just got done calling the freshmen and this Saturday they are having an orientation on calling the transfers, so she thinks that admissions will be released Friday or Saturday, and this info corresponds with the post from @OCaptnMyCaptn . The day is coming!!

@UCLATinkā but you also sent them an unofficial transcript, right? It should be on that. As of this point, too late. You do have appeal option. But again, if itās on the unofficial transcript, it should be sorted out.

Have you been accepted at any other UC? If so, problem solved.

@24luke16 what do the call center people do? I mean, they are not calling people to let them know that they are admitted right?
