The Official Fall 2014 UCLA Transfer Decisions Thread

Lol yeah Cayton is pretty much everywhere. I always expect to see that Santa Monica College icon when looking at a thread. Him and AnthroFlow.

@Cayton The admissions prophecies once foretold of the chosen one, wise in the ways of the Bruin, to lead those agonizing within the depths of CollegeConfidential and to this promised land.

(I feel bad for any future CC student looking at this threat for glimmers of clues to admissions LOL)

Thread*

@music1990‌
Yeah, I have been everywhere on this forum lately. Maybe I should take a little break. :P

@FinanceWiz‌

lmao

and yeah, next year’s transfer applicants will be annoyed with us making jokes and cluttering up this thread like the UCSD transfer topic.

@Cayton 159,000 views

Jokes like: what’re the two sexiest farm animals?

brown chicken brown cow

@FinanceWiz‌

UCSD’s thread has so many views and so many posts

but it’ll be nothing compared to this thread in about several days to a week. Last year’s UCLA thread had 166 pages
UCSD’s has a little over 100 right now.

Just imagine how many views and posts this thread will have soon.

@xcballin‌

lol. Just keep making jokes until decisions are released. :D

I just wonder
did UCLA reject any 4.0 student with strong ECs, PS, completed all major courses prior to application, completed 90 transferable units before transfer before?

@Challenging‌

Probably, but perhaps only in the most impacted/selective majors at UCLA, such as engineering or business economics.

But such an academic profile would be, in theory, perfect, so I doubt UCLA has ever rejected more than a handful of applicants with those accomplishments in its entire history as a school.

Earlier in this thread I predicted that we’d know for certain when decisions will be released by this Friday. I may or may not be right, but I’m starting be more confident that we will.

What do you guys think?

@Cayton I’d really hope so! Given with all the rumors and ideas and all, I believe that UCLA will definitely come out before UCB. I’m just not sure whether it would be this Friday, weekend, or sometime next week.

@Cayton‌
I hope so for you guys! I didn’t apply to UCLA, but I’m going crazy waiting for Cal so I know how you guys feel. I guess at least I know what day it will be though. You guys are in the dark. I really hope you get in though Cayton!

@music1990‌

Thanks, man! Hope you get in at Cal yourself!

If Cayton is wrong about the Friday release date, he hereby voluntarily gives up his UCLA admission to a “lucky” soul in this thread who happened to get rejected.

@smltk1505h‌

Agreed. B-)

if I don’t get in to UCLA I’m gonna be so god damn sad.

I was thinking earlier that I’m literally the best student in about 90% of my classes, and I wrote a kick ass essay, which apparently they don’t really care about.

@GreatestThe It won’t be the end of the world, man. I’m sure you’ll be able to excel at whatever school you end up going to.

@GreatestThe‌

Haas cares about that essay you wrote. :)

On a slightly unrelated note, I feel very bad for engineering majors applying to UCLA. According to Berkeley’s majors fact sheet and UCLA’s transfer profile, you have a better chance of getting into most engineering majors at Cal than into UCLA’s.

That kind of sucks for them, lol.

Keeping fingers crossed that UCLA will release decisions this weekend, but it seems likely after seeing that alot of people confirmed that with admissions. Its gonna be a nerve wracking weekend for those of us have UCLA as our #1 choice, lol

@Cayton‌ Dude that sucks for me
Being a mechanical engineer really sucks! I thought my 3.76 GPA was going to be a good thing, but so far I’ve had s#@t luck because of it. I’m so scared of being denied again. But I have a plan if not accepted I just don’t want to use it haha
