The Official Fall 2014 UCLA Transfer Decisions Thread

Yep the UCB thread kinda died out so I’m just hanging out in the UCLA thread even though I didn’t apply there…

9 out of 10 college confidential users suffer from anxiety and depression problems by the age of 30.

Excellent! @‌vivianqty

I’m sure you have a great chance for UCLA, even without TAP certification.

@music1990‌

The Cal thread will be very busy next week :wink:

@ocnative‌
I hope so! I feel like I’m the only one going crazy waiting. The one nice thing is for today and tomorrow I can just worry about Davis admissions and take my mind of Berkeley.

Hey guys, so how would you get the 9-digit ID? I emailed them through <a href=“Contact Us | UCLA Undergraduate Admission”>https://www.admission.ucla.edu/ContactForm/Applicant.aspx</a> a while ago, but they never sent me an ID when they got back to me.

@ocnative
thanks! God I’m nervous. I saw somewhere in this thread that for my major it’s only a 1/10 chance getting admitted to UCLA. but it’s nice to hear people say you have a good chance for UCLA.
I’m sure you’ve posted your stats somewhere in this thread, but do you mind posting yours again?? :smiley:

@vivianqty‌
You’ll get in, I’m sure of it! I’m tap certified and applied as a comm major as well. My GPA’s a solid 3.90, and I’m afraid it isn’t enough.

Irvine had started releasing decisions just now because I just got in so I guess UCLA is going after irvine

@squashbanana I guess you may find “UCLA Housing Trick” at college confidential… You will see that

I’m kind of happy I don’t have a myucla ID. Really excited to get accepted/denied the official authentic way.

@12bank click it in your application status site saying “contact us”… You should be able to get that…

@purplewedding
I applied to Comm too, good luck!

@purplewedding
thanks! what’s your alt major though? just looked up the profile of 2013 transfers, the average GPA for admitted communication is 3.92 but i hope you will get in! you shouldn’t worry too much. but yeah i totally understand how it can never be enough for people wanting to get accepted right now!

@MYOMOO Ohh I see, so if I sent them an email through the contact form in the application site, then they would respond with the ID?

@12bank yes. But decision will be released tomorrow… Anyway, I hope we all get in

Thought I’d pop my head in! Also feeling anxious about tomorrow. I have little to no chance at getting in, so it would be a massive surprise if I get accepted. I just really want the wait to be over!!

Getting nervous looking at this thread. Im a polisci major w/ a 3.94 GPA (4.0 major GPA), no TAP, good EC’s, IGETC and major pre reqs (the ones offered at my school) done. I know my GPA is good, but the fact that I did not get regents or do not have TAP is stressing me out a bit. Does anyone know how much weight TAP gives you when it comes to admissions? Like would they take a polisci major with similar stats but a lower GPA (like 3.8) that had TAP over someone like me? I know TAP considers your alternate major, but is that it or does it help you out more than that??

I think you’re fine @nickkwooddd, 3.94 should be a shoe in.

@nickkwooddd‌

TAP helps a lot when your GPA is lacking, but not having it doesn’t hurt you. Furthermore, based on the info you’ve presented, I think you’ll get in at UCLA with such a great GPA. Average admitted GPA for those in your major was 3.77 last year.

Uci just posted decisions…getting a head start.
