The Official Fall 2014 UCLA Transfer Decisions Thread

maybe everyone has the student ID? I have it but I don’t have a myucla account

@GreatestThe‌

Typo, doing Calc 2 right now.

I should add the 3.7 friend got in with a B in 2 major pre-reqs. Econ and Calc 1. I have a feeling he got in because of A) TAP B) being full pay.

I would be eligible for aid too if I got into UCLA so I think that is screwing me over.

Rejected.

Does anyone know the email to contact them to find out why you were rejected???

@uclammg You do not have a Financial Aid Disbursement Summary for this Award Period.

I think I’m ■■■■■■ then.

Gaaaah. So tomorrow, 5PM? sunday, 5PM? or do we wait till Monday now…

We don’t know since it says we’re still under reviewed. I think they are still filtering out borderline Biz Econ applicants.

My daughter:

@RamonaFalls‌

You got accepted?

@greatestthe sorry… I wouldn’t assume anything until you have an official decision. Good luck.

Accepted!!

Major: Pre-mathematics, Financial Actuarial
GPA: 3.63
Major GPA: 4.0
Prereqs: all math and econ done, finishing 2 accounting course in this quarter
IGETC: Yes
TAP: Didn’t finish it. took one honors class and think it is not necessary with math major…
ECs: College math tutor, student government, some club leader and volunteers
PS: I think it is fair but someone said it’s very strong and brilliant. Since I was accepted with this lower-than-average GPA, I’m assuming that the admission officer liked my story…

wow, I didn’t think I have much chance.
Congrats, everyone!

Rejected ):

GPA: 4.0
Major: Poli Sci
Pre-Req: 3/4 (only 3 required)

Volunteered for Human Rights in West Africa because I graduated a semester early from my CC.
Volunteered in SoCal at a Primate Conservation Center as well.
Worked a ton, but most ECs are from HS.

■■■■

“Furthermore, when accessing the housing application I got the apparent kiss of rejection “unsure of enrollment status.””

This makes me nervous.

those pending, <a href=“UCLA Single Sign-On”>https://shib.hhs.ucla.edu/secure/myhousing/housingapplication/shib.cfm

go here, tell me what you get when you try applying for single undergraduate housing

@lindyk8‌

No problem. I hope I’ve helped!

@Cayton‌ Yeah, forgot to include that I got accepted. My admission contract seems weird though. It doesn’t say anything about completing any major prep courses. It’s basically just IGETC.

“Complete the following course pattern by June 2014 with C grades or better: two (2) transferable courses in English composition; one (1) transferable course in mathematical concepts and quantitative reasoning; and four (4) transferable courses in at least two of the following subject areas: arts and humanities, social and behavioral sciences, and physical and biological sciences.”

So I guess I don’t have to worry about my grades in the classes I have left heh

Pre-econ still under review :confused:

Posted this earlier but to the recent posters, I received this message in an email last week:

“Before we can complete our review and reach an admission decision, we need an explanation for the gaps in your educational history”

Not sure what I should think now that it says I am still under review! Its killing me!!!
