The Official Fantasy Baseball Thread

I agree though Granderson is better than Kubel. The Twins manager doesn't like rookies and he will get a lot of DNP's throughout the season. Granderson meanwhile I had pegged for a 20/20 season. He will score a ton of runs hitting at the top of the Tigers lineup.

yeah...just remind me next year...and I'll create it.

the link to my league is in this thread...but i think it's private though

Check this out:

That is one beast of a team.

I made a thread in like march, but no one responded to it.

Scareya: Trade Nomar to a team that needs a good SS. He's pretty much a waste at 1B. That idiot Funston on yahoo has him as the number 39 player or something. You could get awesome return. Try to get maybe Derek Lee or Todd Helton or Mark Teixeira as their values are low, but they are awesome players.

Alright. What do you guys think of K-Rod for Hank Blalock?

I hate closers. I drafted my first in the 12th round, I usually pick up good ones off waivers (like Papelbon and Otsuka this year) Thus I can't condone trading a stud 3B for a closer. Especially since K-Rod's mechanics suck and he is a liability to get injured. Also the Halos suck this year so he won't get a ton of save opportunities.

All I have is Mariano and Todd Jones...Todd Jones is pretty bad.

What kinda closer do you think I could get for Blalock? Or what type of starter?

agreed. I draft my closers in the 8th-11th or so.

dont trade Blalock

Is Zumaya on the WW? He or Rodney should be closing soon. Try to get Jake Peavy for Blalock. Peavy's value is really low now, so you may want to hop on him.

Even though this team is beast:
http://baseball.fantasysports.yahoo.com/b1/13231/4/team?&stat1=S&stat2=S_2006
Is there any room for improvement? Thanks!

it said i cant view it since im not in the league. post it.

Is Dallas McPherson worth picking up? I heard he's going to be good.

10 team 5x5 Roto:
C- empty
1B- Thome
2B- Cantu
3B- Aramis
SS- Rollins
CI- Helton
MI- Weeks
OF- Holliday, Bay, Crawford, Huff, Wilkerson
Utl- Chipper
Bench- Kent, Gomes, Guillen
DL- Willingham

SP- Bonderman, Santana, Liriano, Escobar, Schilling, Felix, RJ, Clemens
RP- Gonzalez and Otuska
Bench-Gagne

Meh, McPherson is okay. If you need a 3B I'd rather have Mike Cuddyer (he can play 2B too as well as 1B and OF). If you need a 2B, try Howie Kendrick. The kid is tearing up AAA and should be called up soon. A top 5 2B for sure for the rest of the way (if he gets called up)

trade Randy or Bonderman for a different SP or a 2b or a 3b.

also, get rid of Huff. hes not doing ****.

What do you think of Josh Johnson, Chad Billingsley, and Russell Martin?

Haha, yeah with Huff my only hope is that he continues to be a better second half player.

Johnson is doing pretty good and Billingsley is highly touted. I've never heard of Martin. The order you asked about them is the order i'd take 'em.

I heard Martin from somewhere...I heared he was going to be good so I got rid of LoDuca...I'll just drop Martin and pick up Loduca again.

oh yea the dodgers catcher? hes ok but not better than loduca because loduca is on the much better offense.

Ok...how's david bush and matt morris? good pickups?
