the fact that it's determined beforehand does not determine its lenience. i just reasoned that the scores would be higher in june than in february when the same students are taking the test with more knowledge and more experience. if they want roughly the same score distribution, wouldn't it be necessary to have a more lenient curve in february than in june?

Scores can be viewed early on Feb. 20th, which is sweet. Although it does cost $8. I've gotten a 31 on the dec. test. Then I got a 31 again recently on a timed test. I hope I get atleast a 33.

Ah I just remembered a math question

What did you guys get for the that probability question??? choosing a phone number 0-9 and the restriction is that one wont work.....I put (10)(10)(10)-1
Not a 100% sure if that's right or not though.

That's right, thecalccobra. Or at least that's what I put.

ah ok...and towards the end, was it just me, or did you guys get a lot of E's, J's , and K's?? (on the math section)

thecalccobra,
I also put (10)(10)(10)-1 and I am pretty sure we are correct. I had some questions about it after multiplying 101010 and getting 10,000 (not a 4 digit number), but then I remembered 0-0-0-0 counted instead of 10,000. So 0-0-0-0 and everything up to and including 9-9-9-9 works. Then subtract 1 for the "date of birth year" sayyyy 1950.
So it's: 101010 - 1

i put the same thing...10^4 would be all possible ones. and a person's birth year is only one 4 digit number so subtract 1

thats good

you guys get consecutive E's, J's and K's towards the end? BTW, I had form 43D

oh whoops i meant 10^3 and 3 digit code. anyone remember the math question that had I, II, and III. it was one of those questions I only, I and II, etc...i put H as a guess cuz i ran outta time

i had 43 D as well and did get quite a few E J and K's towards the end. computers uploading slow, sry if im sounding redundant

jonoam- it sounds familiar but can u specify it a little more?

what did you guys get for the question that dealt with going from west to east and on the way stopping to gas stations..... going from state to state..... it was a wordy problem.... I know i got like 341 or something like that....... uhhh

jonoam- Can you try to remember if your last answer column consisted solely of J's, K's and E's??? because mine did.....well maybe 1 or 2 C or B here and there

I can't remember if I got continuous J's, K's, and E's for sure, but something like that does kinda sound familiar.

For the gas station one I think I got 241ish. It said like...gas station A is at the 150 mile marker. The last mile marker for the state is mile 250. The next gas station (B) in the next state is at 200 mile marker. (These were not the actual numbers...just for describing)

So you take 250-150 = 100. That shows how far it is from Station A to state line. Then you add 200 for the distance from the state line to Station B.

200 + 100 = 300

The answer wasnt 300 (I think 241 or maybe it actually was 341) but that is how it was done

oh ok

What about the Venn Diagram one?? Which one was it?

I got B...the one on the upper right..... had 4 or 5 as the number on the right

i think it was 231, not 241

Hey mehta what did you get for the Venn Diagram one?

I know I'm not mehta but I'll reply anyways. I got one on the right but can't remember if it was top or bottom. Do you remember the question? I think I put something with a 7 and a 6 somewehre in it

cant remember the specifics on that question..no big deal, just was wondering if i got lucky with the guess. i agree wiht the gas station one, i used the same method. and for the venn diagram one, i got the one that had...i want to say 11 in the middle. there was 11 games that he both won(maybe it was lost, cant remember the wording of the question) and scored at least 27 points in

for the venn diagram one i got the one on the bottom right side and i know that was correct. I wasnt sure on the I, II, III one. I knew I and III were correct, but I,III wasnt an option so i put I,II,III. can anyone esle back that up?
