i’m technically transferring down, so if I don’t get accepted, it will just be embarrassing :(

This is becoming frustrating. I’m applying to CAS.

I called yesterday and was told that I’ll know before the end of May but any earlier than that isn’t guaranteed.

so i got an email today about a mistake i made in the college official’s report (big surprise there) and they’re wanting me to send in another ASAP. i’m thinking a good sign? and if my app was reviewed today, i probably would have heard back today or tomorrow, so i’m thinking you guys should be hearing back from the school around tomorrow or early next week if you turned it in around the deadline?

I was told I need to send in more things as well. They told me they were asking all freshman for more things to turn in depending on the individual.

I got an email asking for my final grades a couple of days ago. Tuesday to be exact. I’m starting to become anxious.

I was just told by an admissions representative that it will be another 2-3 weeks before we hear our decisions. I realize that admissions is likely a lengthy process, however, I am pretty upset. I have finals and term papers, the added anxiety of this transfer process really doesn’t help. Having decisions released possibly a month after the said release date doesn’t look to good on GWU’s administration.

i got an email of tuesday as well. they said they hadn’t recieved my college official’s report… even though my school had already faxed over like they asked. then today i got an email, again, saying that they were missing it. i KNOW they have recieved it already… but when i log in to check the status is says “other credential” recieved, but not the college official’s report. anyone knwo that this “other credential” is?

well in my case, i sent a college official’s report from the wrong school (i’ve attended two in the last two years) so i think their request is justified.

to phantombf: you might want to call the admissions office and talk to someone? that may help clear things up and help you understand how your file has been organized.

to honus: join the club, you’re one of thousands. they’re going to work on their schedule, not ours.

thanks kurt. =) i’ve actually been emailing back and forth with someone from admissions. i always feel like i’m being a pest when i call… lol. i’m pretty sure its all straightened out now…but who knows. good luck everyone! =)

I am soooooo anxious. I want a decision right now, I am under review finally. So you guys think we will hear by the end of May?

honestly it seems like we might not even know until sometime in early June

Well it will probably be sooner than that, on GW’s colonial message board, last year notifications were sent out and posted the week of May 12, which is basically this week this year.

Just curious, where is everyone transferring from? I’m currently at American

Got in to Elliott!!!
SO EXCITED!!!
Just checked the website

Good luck to everyone else!!

Congrats, Emeralds! I was accepted today, too. I’m currently at Ohio University; GWU has always been my dream school, my enrollment will be contingent on my financial aid, though. I can’t wait to get the thick packet in the mail.

Edited to add that I was accepted to CAS.

Yay I’m so happy for you!
I’m currently at a top small LAC that I absolutely abhor, so this is really exciting for me. Even though we have financial problems, my mom said she’ll pay for whatever, even if I don’t get good financial aid. I really hope it won’t be this case though.

I got into SMPA =) I am coming from a small LAC too.

Hey everybody!

I just found out this morning that I’m in! I’m so excited, but I’m really scared too! I come from a community college on the west coast so it’ll definitely be a change…congratulations to others who have already been notified!

^ i’m at a small cc on the west coast too, which one are you at? and congrats to everyone so far!! still waiting, ugh.
