for left and right i always have to do the hand trick (left hand is able to make an L) and for east and west, i have to do the “never eat soggy waffles” lol

lol, yea I had to do that for the physics test. I messed up and had to start a couple q’s over again…barely finished, but got perfect lol.

but yea, I use ‘never eat sour watermelons’ to remember.

during practice before the jan SATs, my son got 2 2400 on Q&As and a 2300+ on 3 others. on the actual test, he got -2 in math (740), 3-CR (750) and -4 W (700) = 2190. when the Q&A arrived, he knew every answer w/in a millisecond of reading the question b/c ea. was a stupid mistake. after taking more practice Q&As (all 2350+), he retook the exam in march and thinks he got the same number wrong he just gets nervous during the real tests. he’s hoping that the scaling is better this time so his score will rise.

i hope i’m the opposite of your son and feel more energetic and pumped during the real thing…at home i need to push myself just to stay focused

his problem: he’s relaxed when he takes them in the comfort of our DR and so can focus well, and he’s too pumped w/nervous energy when taking the test for real, making it easy for him to make silly mistakes.

i know that i took the real sat much more seriously than practices. i understand that its showtime and i automatically focus and enter the “test taking zone”
