Everyone do bad, let’s keep the ACT’s integrity. :)

^:P

I got a 29 last time…it’d be wonderful to get into the 30s. Even a 30 would blow my mind because it has a 3 in it haha. I haven’t even looked at a ACT question since I took it last in the spring… I should get to studying!

Edit: Oh I forgot this little “prayer” my grandpa sent me… idk where he found it haha:

"Now I lay me down to study
I pray the Lord I won’t go nutty.
If I should fail to learn this junk,
I pray the Lord I will not flunk.
But if I do, don’t pity me at all,
Just lay my bones down in the study hall.
Tell my teachers I did my best,
Then pile my books upon my chest.
Now I lay me down to rest,
And pray I’ll pass tomorrow’s test.
If I should die before I wake,
That’s one less test I’ll have to take.

–Sufferin’ Student"

^ love that prayer!

Aiming for a 27-28 Composite. Really, nothing much. I got a 23 (28M, 24S, 22E, 17R) and 1160/1640 SAT.

I didn’t take them with any studying and was a sophomore.

Here’s my breakdown on my first practice test:
Eng - 25
Mat - 29
Rea - 20
Sci - 28

Composite: 26
Woohoo! It was from the REAL ACT too!

So, anyways. Basically, my reading is going to be the biggest factor. There are passages where I get 9/10 right, and 1/10 right, NO lie.

If I get a reading test that I’m able to keep focus on, it’ll be awesome. My scores vary incredibly when it comes to reading passages.

Everyone pray for me.
3 wishes:
- EASY Trig on Math
- Reading test I can keep focus on… and finish
- Science curve isn’t ridiculous

Lol :)

ACT > SAT

I’m doing a Science passage before I go to sleep every night.

Its time to start the nightly ACT review.

I’m hoping for 36 English 36 Math 35 Reading 35 Science. Or all 36’s =p
The time limit for reading and science passages is pretty harsh though =[

First timed practice test ever seeing the test I got a 29 M: 31 R: 30 S: 31 W: 25 LOL…aiming for a 29-32 on the real deal…it’ll happen

Hey guys, I’m new to the ACT and I’ll be taking it for the first time in September. I was wondering when the results come out? I got up at 5 AM to check each of my Subject Test scores as soon as they came out and I called the Collegeboard to get my AP scores at 9 AM the Friday before July 1st, so as you can see I am always REALLY eager to receive my scores. So when do the ACT scores come out? (Eastern Time) And on what day?

They usually come out earlier than SAT but the Essay and Combined Writing/English score aren’t available for a week later.

I think they came out two, or two and a half weeks after I tested. I was surprised, one day I logged in and they weren’t even supposed to be up but they were.

I wasn’t that excited, though. I got a 23 composite :P

Five days. **** me. Science is still raping me, but not as much.

stupid mistakes are killing me…by like…3 points …advice?

Message to all: SparkNotes is awful. Certain portions of the questions do not display on browsers, the questions are poorly worded, and some of the questions use a format I have never seen on the real test.

I got a 31 my first go and I am DETERMINED to get a 32 or 33 this go around. I want to go to Yale so this is important for me!!! I got my 31 when I was sick, and without preliminary practice so I’m hoping my healthy status and moderate studying the PR book will help me.
I got a 28 on my first PR practice test which scared me really bad, but doing a test at home distracted me terribly. I think I’m just going to do my weakest sections in the other practice tests, doing the whole thing at once does nothing for me!!!

WE CAN DO IIIITTT WOOOOOOOOOO

Oh, and what happens if I (god forbid) do worse?
Do the colleges I’m sending my scores to see that I tried twice and did worse the second time?

They take the best score regardless of the date.

You’re right about taking them at home. There was a huge difference in my practice test scores between when I took them sitting in front of my computer in my bedroom and when I took them sitting at an empty table in our basement.

^there’s also a huge difference when you are sitting at home…and your sister is yelling constantly downstairs. haha…

That, too.

lolz

I hope I get at least 36,36,35,35 for a 36 Composite. I hope I don’t screw up so I can get 36 English and 36 Math. Does anyone have any suggestions for Reading and Science? I know if I focus I can get at least 34, but I want 35-36. The short time always screws me over though…=[

I just went 35/35/34 on a PR practice test. I can’t wait for Saturday.

Damn am I jealous of those scores on the practice test.
It’s crazy how high the standards are on this site!
Whenever I tell people i got a 31 they’re seriously impressed…i guess it’s just context!
