*The Official June 2012 Sat II Math Level 2 Thread*

Guys, I’M FREAKING OUT.

Check out post #540.

“41. 12 is the number that makes the expression composite, not prime”

^^^^ I DON’T REMEMBER ANY QUESTION ASKING ABOUT COMPOSITE/PRIME

DID I ACTUALLY SKIP A QUESTION? DID I ONLY BUBBLE IN 49 ANSWERS?! OMG.

Someone, squelch my fears and tell me what that question was about, haha.

Also this one: “19. Unit circle/chord: 2sin(theta)”

I sort of remember something like this but can someone jog my memory and give me a little more information?

Thanks, guise.

@rahulkshah which of the following does not make 3n+1 prime
@hypnosys ln(x)/(1/x) is of type inf/inf for x->0
@michael 0^0 does not have to be 1 (especially in a limit). for example, lim 0^x as x->0=0

You misinterpreted me , I was talking about putting 0 in x^x itself

Oh, i didn’t mean to use l’hopital on x^x directly, i showed in a previous post how to make it into an indeterminate quotient. Sorry if i was unclear

0 to the power of 0 is undef, sillly boy :stuck_out_tongue: that’s why we had to use limits.
[Zero to the Power of Zero](Zero to the Power of Zero)

I wasn’t very prepared for this exam so I did not have time to do 8 questions. I guessed and put C for all of them (not a fan of omitting). Does anyone remember if the last 4 questions were answer choice C at all? or 36-40?

im pretty sure the answer to #50 was c (987)

You can do L’Hopital with 0^0 I think… you just have to manipulate it a bit. Granted, we only spent 5 minutes in class doing it since I’m in AB and it was something extra we did after the AP test.

Does anyone have the answers for SATII-Math 2c June test?
(Not the answers in number but in letters )

I think I might have done way better than I thought I did. Scores come out tomorrow I guess. I skipped 2. I don’t know exactly which ones I got wrong but I probably missed 3 or 4 (just an estimate). Does that put me in the upper 700’s? I didn’t know there was any curve for the Math II so I thought you had to get a raw score of 50 to get an 800.

okay this curve must’ve been ridiculously good…

i was so ****ed when i left the testing site that day cause i remember guessing on the last like 10-15ish question in like 2 minutes for math 2c

i ended up getting a 720… still not good and am gonna retake it in nov… -__-
(ugh im gonna become a sr…)

but still… LOL and i got a 700 for physics which i will retake as well…
peace.

finals -_-

Sigh i got a 790. So close to 800

i got a 790 -___________- and i was so sure that i had a good chance at 800 too. ■■■ excuse me while i go stab myself. ill be a senior but do i need to retake for chances at schools like duke, jhu, northwestern, cornell?

Expected it after checking against the CC answer key. Fairly straightforward test imho. 790 in Physics though =(.

I know 800 is the best score  but is 750 and above considered good in Math 2 ?

750 is solid. Should be acceptable at most schools except maybe tippy-top math schools like MIT, Cal Tech, etc. Congrats, by the way.

I tried to check my score but the page said “Sorry, this page is temporarily unavailable. Please try again later.” Do you know when this will be fixed?

800 on Math 2 but 740 on Math 1 haha

43 got you an 800 on this test
