Seriously, I had everything in by 10/1 and haven't gotten any decision yet. AAAAAAAAAAARRRRRRRGGGGGGGGHHHHHHH. Maybe I'll get my decision in 10 minutes?! Maybe?!

AGREED (with title)

I am so entirely sick of waiting for Michigan to get the decisions online. FIVE MINUTES! Grrrr...if the results don't come by this Friday..well, yeah. I don't know what I might have to resort to doing.

When did you have everything in by? I can't stand all the people on this board complaining but have submitted like 11/1 lol

Hahah, sorry rhyn0 - I guess I'm one of those people. I had everything in by 10/31... ;P But yeah, I can't even imagine what people who applied earlier than I did must feel like right now. I just feel that I'm a pretty strong candidate and it shouldn't take TOO long to decide as long as they get the application...urrgg

rhyn0- does ur name refer to the animal?

I have a perfect ACT and am at the top of my class AND I did research at NYU!! lol. I'm going crazy here.

sguoster: no lol

Yup - here too (2390 SAT, 4.0 UW GPA, Nat'l AP Scholar, 1st place in national level flute competition, etc) Ack

..well I guess not tonight.. D:

Everything in on 10/08 and nothing yet :(

all my stuff was in by 10/16(counselor rec took forever..everything else was in 10/3). so tired of waiting. i just want my deferral already, pls!

i hate you guys with amazing stats. i just have a 32 ACT and a 3.6 michigan uw gpa. bleh.

LET ME IN ALREADY.

kdone. for the next five minutes, anyway.

Yeah, everything in by 10/17...still so mad, if my teacher hadn't been so slow, it would've been completed by 9/22.

You know what I'm getting tired of? People telling me I'm "definitely" going to get in. Clearly, not so much.

i had everything in on 10/7... still no reply, this is so annoying!!! i have a 31 and a umich 3.7(upward trend 3.4 sophomore year and 4.0 jr year)
srgirl- i know what you mean, everyone who i talk too says dont worry you will get in...but if they are so sure then why havent i heard yet.
and im so tired of people asking me if i got a decision yet and all i can say is no

midOct, still nothing...I called and they said it would be released between 4-6 weeks after submission of ur app. WHAT HAPPENED!? So many people have gotten it back already...and now there seems to be a huge gap...they haven't released any decisions in a while to my knowledge

all you 4 points, why are you worried... perfect test scores= you will get in most likely.
so just assume you're just as good as in.

interestingly enough, most of you have very similar stats to my D last year, OOS, 32 ACT, 1450 SAT, 3.7 UMGPA, top 7% of class rank......deferred after 12 weeks (everything in on Oct 1st; didn't hear until Dec 21st).....she was so fed up with UMich that she withdrew after Christmas; it wasn't on the top of her list and didn't feel like her app was really looked at carefully.....she has friends in NY that didn't even hit top 20%, but came from grade inflated schools that were admitted ER....

specifically, rhyn: on all your posts, you have neglected to post your UM GPA....they would be nuts not to accept you, but they have been nuts before....do you think that the UM GPA is holding you back? I can't imagine they would be that stupid, but who knows....we have seen it happen b4.....

perfect, now i'm even more nervous than i was 10 minutes ago haha. just kidding rodney, but seriously your D should have been accepted no doubt.

^ never mind all the other NJ kids who weren't admitted last year with even higher stats.....

...which is why exactly it's so nervewrackingly hard to have to wait for so long. My friend was also in a similar situation - deferred, then waitlisted and then rejected in August. She's at UPenn now and still jokes (albeit with a little bit of bitterness, of course) about it.

is there any way it could be because there are certain students whose stats make them so overqualified that admissions assumes even if they accept the student, he or she won't attend? maybe admissions would rather give someone who's a good fit an acceptance over someone who's overqualified/ivy league material...?
