I have a bit of experience in this area. 
I wish I had a dollar for every student who, prior to day 1, felt that they were placed incorrectly and would go on to prove them wrong by “crushing” it. A few days in, they invariably have their tail between their legs. Beware the hubris.
99% of the time, the placement results are accurate. For those that do indeed crush it, their placement will be adjusted very quickly. But for anyone expecting in depth explanations in English in their Spanish/French/Russian/etc classes - ain’t gonna happen.
I received an email from Choate about a teacher bring terminated for ‘misconduct’. I was wondering if they sent that to admitted students as well, or if they are still being secretive. I couldn’t find any news sources. I’m a fan of transparency when it comes to these things because of Chaote’s history.

@CavsFan2003 Are you studying using online courses or just reviewing information you already learned? I usually like to do some type of online course during summer so my brain doesn’t turn to complete mush, and I would love to hear what others doing to review/prep for next year.
@livelaughxc I’ve devised an evil plan of reading (or at least attempting to read) German novels, getting a head start at Precalculus by doing Khan, and preparing for the new History Bee season. Also, I will try to improve my reading speed (it’s average, but I hope speedreading will shorten the supposed hours upon hours of homework at BS).

Also, I know jobs were briefly mentioned on another thread, but are there part-time student jobs available at Andover, such as helping out at the library, etc?
Is it just me, or do I feel like a 5 year old waiting for the first day of kindergarten? I literally am going to explode waiting for September?

@imwasian All the future L’ville kids I’ve interacted with (besides those who went to my middle school) barely care about the academic aspect, it’s honestly kinda surreal

I fly back out to Choate Sunday for the summer enrichment program. Honestly, can’t tell if I’m more nervous or excited. One thing I do know, however—I am awful at packing.
