@ThatScorpio I have a feeling that you’ll acheive your dream of attending a boarding school.
Don’t worry yourself too much.Try to distract yourself.

@YoungThriver Thank you very much for your support. I’m currently distracting myself with a ton of homework ?
And who knows… maybe I’ll see you at a revisit day
@ThatScorpio ??
@ThatScorpio I hope everything works out for you in the best way it possibly can!!
@misslilbookworm Thank you so much … that actually means a lot
Just got an email from Andover about accessing the decision
^^^ (it’s through gateway again y’all at 9 am)
I can relate @ThatScorpio … I only applied to one boarding school so I will most likely not get in. I really don’t want to let go of the idea of it. I’ve invested so much time on it and I’ll also have to unfollow Twines&Vines, prepconfessions, … Most importantly, I’ll have to stop going on CC! I’ve looked through all the thread up till page 10 or something like that in the prep school admissions, cafe, and parent sections
I just can’t imagine myself attending Choate. But if it does happen, I will be so freaking happy and grateful for everyone and God for making it happe (pretty sure everyone feels this way!) My mind still isn’t processing that we find out in less than a week because I’m not freaking out
@ThatScorpio When I saw the email, my heart took a plunge. For some reason, I thought it was the actual decision. I guess I’ll actually be anxiety-ridden on March 9th.
some thoughts from someone who isn’t particularly expecting good results on m9 (i mentioned on this thread that i have an ok lps i’m already attending) ::::
i think in the beginning i was really desperate to get into boarding school–to me it was a last ditch effort to find opportunities for my education–i had/still have some huge goals set for myself. boarding school was like a hail mary or something of that kind for me, but i think it’s important to realize that what you want for yourself is not entirely dependent on what school you attend. i guess what i’m saying seems super obvious, but i think that some of us who are stressing out in this last week should remember that their potential doesn’t change with the institution they’re attending. to those of us who get “bad” news on m9: boarding school is only one of the roads your life could’ve taken. find another path, and love it. you’re more than a rejection.
@ilovechoateeeee You don’t have to let go of CC… everything we’ve all learned this year will be so helpful to new applicants! I think the best part of this growth is that now we can give back!
@YoungThriver same. As soon as I say Phillips Academy I was freaking out !!
Yeah, I’ll definitely help out future applicants, but I just feel like being on CC is so bitter sweet and it just symbolizes something that I can’t have
@ilovechoateeeee I totally understand. If I don’t get accepted, seeing kids next year applying to the schools I applied will be kinda hard… but it just feels like I’ve learned so much that it would be wrong not to help out the class of 2024.
i feel like i’ll end up at loomis, not choate. it’s just like a core feeling and i imagine myself there better
What classes are you guys applying for?
I’m applying for a spot in the class of 2022.

It feels like February has flown by so fast and we’re only 5 days out for M9. I want to find out the decisions but I’m also so nervous about the results.
