It’s been radio silence for a while…
@CavsFan2003 My dream schools are Andover and Choate too!
My DD was accepted to 6/7 schools and we received just one pre-notification that originated in Lakeville, CT so we knew that was hotchkiss. None from any others including Exeter.
The earliest notification via email was at 6 am and I think that was St. George’s School. She was wait listed at Andover and I want to say that was FedEx. Needless to say there was no notification.
She did receive other physical packages on M10 that were sent USPS priority with no notification including at Deerfield where she now attends. She told me that she saw the committee meeting in a room near one of her classes just a couple of days ago and there were many boxes. So…it’s coming!!
@YoungThriver Did you sign up for any notifications?
@MAandMEmom Do you mean Andover sent you a overnight FedEx on March 10th to inform you are waitlisted? thanks.
When you’re referring to M10, do y’all mean March 10th this year or the decision date (March 9th this year)
Don’t freak out on a lack UPS notifications. We had an account with no notifications the day prior and worried way too much about it. The next morning a UPS (good news) package did arrive. We also had a 45 min gap between a waitlist email (bad news) and acceptance at choice #1. Because of the 45 min delay my son (and me too) were CERTAIN that meant a “no” was coming. Good luck tomorrow and expect a variety in notification times.
@baronofunk I don’t remember signing up for notifications. They sent me updates, such as how I am going to access my admisssions decisions, through email. It was the email that I provided on the candidates form. They also sent updates on my mother’s email, which we also gave in the candidate profile.
When you submitted your application, did you receive an email confirming that your application was complete?
Even if you didn’t complete it, you would have gotten one about an incomplete application. Did you?
@YoungThriver My mom signed up for UPS/FedEx notifications, but none so far. Completed all 13 applications and reviewed each one with parents, and sent updates throughout January.
Maybe Exeter had a tech issue this year and accidentally had UPS send emails to applicants. I think it’s strange because as far as I’ve read, this didn’t happen last year unless you specifically signed up for notifications and a lot of people this year seem to be getting them even though they didn’t sign up.
Do schools send packages tomorrow if you’re waitlisted or just if you’re accepted?
Only acceptances get packages.
I didn’t get a UPS notification from Exeter… uh ohh… nervous
@ThatScorpio Same
@baronofunk just for some clarification, are you talking about updates from the schools or updates from UPS/FedEx?
I’m talking about updates directly from the school. I haven’t signed up for USP/FedEx nor do I intend to do so. If you haven’t reached notifications from UPS/FedEx, I wouldn’t worry much. I think it’s best to hear directly from the schools.
Did Andover send the email update today to everyone?
@YoungThriver UPS/FedEx notifications. Received updates from school as necessary. As far as FedEx/UPS goes, it could be many things – Folks have not received any tracking notifications last year and were fine. There are several variations to our mailing address as well, so I won’t stress about it anymore. Tonight might be a SciFi/Kingdom Hearts night.
@Mumandme03 Yep! The same email was sent earlier this week too.
