For those waitlisted, have hope. The schools do want you but they do not have enough spaces.
If many applicants get multiple accepts that might say there will be movement on waitlists.
Many schools in non Covid years will have a few students getting pulled off waitlists in the summer months.
The results might be tough but do not let it define you. Same with the school you go to should not define you no matter how great it is…
Reach out to friends and family to vent freely- get it out of your system.
CC could start a thread for the group with no change for next year and help one another to fine new ways to be motivated in same school situation.

I applied to 6 schools. I am honored and humbled by the outcome. My first choice is Taft! I’m going to Taft!!
I am going to let the other schools know asap that I will not be attending hopefully it will free up a waitlist spot today and hopefully some of you who were waitlisted and deserve it will get that spot!

Congrats!! Taft is an amazing school and my sister loves it there.
Many thanks for the helpful information. Applying to 10th grade is even harder right? I’m at close to perfect score in ISEE, so not much I can do over there. And I won both AMC8, Scholastic awards, and regional music honor band. Probably my teacher recommendations were not as strong because I’m in public school. Also, maybe I did all the application myself without external counselor’s help so the application package is not as strong as professionally done.

I got rejected at Exeter, Andover, and Choate. I got a waitlist on Cate, though! But I’m not all that disappointed. I was accepted to a boarding school which I was looking forward to, so it all works out. If I’m not happy at that school, I could just apply again and again. Congratulations to everyone else!
@BBallPlayer05 Good luck! My son is a freshman at Pingree. 
He also applied to MX last year as a day student. A couple of his lax teammates are at Belmont Hill. All great schools. Crossing fingers for your son!
