hi .......................

well, I do have some Ziggy Marley CDs...also, I'm assuming that's how the name Ziggy was bestowed upon me (that's not my real name), I hear my dad was real into Ziggy Marley back in '89.

hi helpmegetin

My mom mostly listens to Bob Marley and the wailers and others who I can't name.

If logisticslord ordered the labondie, more than likely he would order whip cream on it.

I also thought of Ziggy Marley when I saw your name.

Hello, helpmegetin!!

so, how is everyone?

Hello there, helpmegetin....

but c'mon, would you rather your friends call you Ziggy :), or Zane :(.

Just peachy. Y tu?

I am fine as well, but I should be studying for exams...

I am also fine. I should be studying for the opening prologue in "Romeo and Juliet" since I have to recite it tomorrow, but I am here in CC talking to my fellow procrastinators!

I would choose Ziggy too.:)

I need to finish a section of Isabel Allende's "House of Sprits" for an inventory on Monday, and need to begin re-studying for the AP World History test Wednesday while keeping up with review for the AP Chemistry and Spanish Literature tests next week.

Sounds tough, kman1456. Good luck!

I loved the House of the Spirits.

I liked "Dos Palabras" better, a story about a former prostitute who goes to a news stand and cannot read the words, and decides to become literate enough to be a speechwriter, from which she is able to get an income and trance many with her words.
My all time favorite short story series: "El Conde Lucanor", particularly examples 35 and 36.

hmm i should probably finish that Spanish assignment that fellow CCers helped me get started on....and I've havent started studying for AP Calc AB exam (uh-oh). looks like ill be busy the next 2 nights.

Sounds interesting...another story I liked was El pecado de omision. It was about this boy who was treated badly and never granted any opportunity to improve his life. He ends up murdering the man who treated him badly.

Sounds similar to Lazarillo de Tormes, where an orphan who has many masters defeats them all for their cruelty with good trickery.
The worst: Las medias rojas, where a girl who wants to escape tradition and go to America is savagely beaten the night before by her father and detained, because the one stipulation was that one had to be beautiful to embark on the trip.

I read las medias rojas too...not one of my favorites.

Lablondie is nas-ty. Whats good is cheesecake with extra graham-cracker crust.

Nobody likes cheesecake.
