2 days until the MIT decisions are out… is it too optimistic to even hope?

For the MIT guys, my suggestion would be: Don’t keep your expectatiojns high, because when you get rejected, it really hurts. So, my policy; just stay realistic about the admissions process. =/

I have asked this before but since there are more people now may as well ask again. Do you guys know anyone who got in in the ED round in a LAC. In other words is there anyone else in Pakistan who took- for lack of better phrase- The Game’s route.

I heard of a couple of people last year…they wen’t off to middlebury, from my school’s sister school.

Thanks for the post Game. I wanted to add that the 5 PM times are I believe EST times, so for us they would be around 2 AM of next day…so I guess we’ll be up all day all night…

Hey superleader, khan91 I got waitlisted from WashU as well. I was expecting an outright rejection! WashU is one of my top choices and I was hoping a waitlist would be good. Unfortunately WashU is notrious for waitlisting large numbers of students and the WashU forum confirms that. So guys lets not get our hopes high. Good luck to everyone with their remaining decisions!

Last year, a guy got into Trinity College (Connecticut) through ED1

And waleed1’s, if you dare: http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/northeastern-university/656845-already-2.html#post1061896044

jsukhera13 applied ED II to Swarthmore. Let me invite him to this thread too.

thegame, i just found the link you were talking about. I got into the Viterbi School of Engineering at USC aswell.
I dont get it. Why is everyone so ****ed off about my stats? :P

Hmm. The guy is touchy so “everyone” don’t be ****ed.

My principal didnt send my mid-year results cuz they were awful!!!..actually the teachers make such tough exams during the mid-term…each and every single person failed Maths!!!..i got a C on physics while no one else passed…!!! now my principle couldnt write “dear admissions officer this result even though withone U and a C iz bad ,its the best in school!!!”… so she didnt send my school transcript with internal assesment(universities don require mid-year grades frm internationals anyway!!)
one internal assesment went that was frm grade ninth when i was at beaconhouse peshawer…I hav changed three schools in last three years!!!..my parents r in army u see!!!..
so who of u guys sent internal assesment???

super_leader, sorry but i really didnt catch what you were trying to say. If you could please be a little clear what you’re talking about…

Guys I need some urgent help! I need to find out some private AP coordinaters in Lahore. Do you guys know anyone? The deadline is tomorrow and the collegeboard offices open at 5pm local time. Plz guys if you can give me some quick replies.

Hey people where are all of us? Aren’t we gonna be here till 11 PM?

Well done! The irony is that you might as well have asked for a bit of aid and had a fair chance - but maybe Northeastern wouldn’t have remained a safety. Nice thing you had some real safeties in your college list, mentioning which, I have to ask the forbidding question: Where else did you apply? :D
