I hope no one minds…but this is the acceptances list, so don’t you think other than US acceptances count?

Oh, lets not clutter it with FAST, NUST or GIK acceptances :D

oh, has anyone checked out the nepalese acceptances? great if you ask me, and a lot of them are ED acceptances into LAC’s

Flibb, I think they made a smart moves. I wish I had done the same thing.

By the way, to get into FAST, you need a 1500/24oo on SAT 1. :D

Lol, so all of us are accepted…another reason not to put in FAST acceptances :D

I just read on MIT Open forum for admitted students that a girl from lahore got in…dnt knw which school thou… and also there is a guy frm isb…i think hez the one frm headstart…

two into MIT frm my skool Pats Khi
Head Boy sat1 2000
Head Girl sat1 1960
ppl the head girl’s sat2 was lower than my sat 1… LOL

^ Don’t make any sense, their SAT scores. Were they US Nationals? Green card holders? Or did they make Pakistan proud in International Olympiads (get the drift)?

Anyway. For the sake of it. Updating our list (we’re way behind the Nepalese count).

By the way, where is Karpov? =/ His last post was on page 32!

@Game
It came to thousands the same way it came to u…unbelievable…the school literally lobbied for thm…Ppl at KGS and Pats too and ppl lyk me r furious…see tht is the power of the school if it is prestigious enuf…,the head boy was a christian, my class fellow frm st pauls and later on pats karachi…he had 11As 1 B olevel,4 As AS level,SAT 1 2000 (2 sittings) and and SAT 2 i thnk 2300-2350…he was lyk the right hand man of a level dean at pats and therefore the school pushed thm…n trust me that guy is certainly not deserving if u look at karachi and even pats there are scores of ppl better thn him…no offence to him as he is a good friend but it is the truth…100% credible…i wish i cud giv out his name but we call him brandy(nick), the girl’s name is prayna rawlani.

If we are counting international uni acceptances, then I will add myself!

@SSK - I feel for you man, this is the unfortunate reality that we must face in Pakistan. If you can suck up to the person in charge you will do well. Lets take ROOTS as an example, no offense to anyone who attends it, but its pretty much a scam where they make up inflated transcripts and bs everything else!

The thing is, people who get into college in such a manner don’t last there long. Someone with a 1900 on his SAT will get crushed by the workload at MIT, no joke. I am at Wharton, and business is supposed to be easy but these places know how to crush you when you are on a curve you fight for every mark!

BTW does anyone have the MIT 2008-2009 Application lying around on their computer? Please do let me know I need it, I’m doing a research report on College Admissions and Apps!

Hi…just joined this forum. I’m from Aitchison and the guy who got into Yale got rejected from MIT along with another guy who was in the Pakistan Maths Team (Olympiad).
My chacha interviews people for MIT and when he heard about the 3 who got in he was really surprised.
As far as McGill goes… 4-5 people from Aitchison got in.
P.S just wanted to ask if someone applied to UCLA or Berkeley.?

@talha_adnan: Call Conn every week from now. And pelt them with emails at/after your notification date :D

@SSK 91: I see. There must be a Jewish lobby at work at Pats! We’re dealing with MIT, not any run-of-the-mill uni. Mind you, the guy did have decent enough SAT IIs and O Levels (a few distinctions - maybe?), so we’re probably missing something. The jigsaw stands unsolved.

@joiya550: A couple of BSS students, I’ve heard, got into Berkeley. Granted it was for a music major, but the uni we’re dealing with is a bigwig! So congratulations BSS.

Game, that’ll definitely screw things up! Now that hope’s all lost, that’s the last thing I’d want to do. :(
