Let's get this thing going.

Okay, so I don’t think anybody else wants to take the initiative to start this thread - which means I have to do so.

Let me begin with a simple question, to all you Pakistani Class of 2014 CCers:

Where have you guys applied early?

Hi!

I applied to Stanford Early Action I wish Harvard hadn’t abolished their EA. I really wanted to apply there. What about you Juggernaut?

To Everyone: People let’s get this thread started as the Juggernaut earlier stated. Let’s get going.

Unity, Faith, Discipline. Pakistan Zindabad!

-Imran

@takoyaki: It is almost farcical that you relate the example of an individual’s body odor to that of an entire nation. All I can do is laugh.

@imransadiq: Oh, Stanford! I know a friend who applied their early as well. Nervous, anxious, excited? Me, personally - I applied to Dartmouth.

Does Stanford confirm reception of application materials? If so, have you received anything yet? I’m still waiting.

What colleges did you guys apply to as your safeties?

@takoyaki: Perhaps, you should not apply to any college since you seem to have the intellect of a three year old. Are all of the people in your country as dimwitted as you?

@The Juggernaut: I haven’t received any confirmation yet. However, I have received an email regarding an Alumni Interview. It’s scheduled for Friday and I’m very nervous. I have absolutely no idea what to say. At Dartmouth, did you apply to the Larson School of Business or the Fisher School of Engineering?

@talha_adnan: I’m thinking of applying to Purdue and GWU as backups.

@talha_adnan: I’m not really sure about safeties yet, have to start worrying about them soon.

@imransadiq: I applied to the Larson School of Business.

I didn’t know Stanford had alumni interviews? I know they do have alumni interviews for those applicants that apply from the states (but that too in limited regions, I think) - so you must currently be in the states. What’d you apply for at Stanford?

larson school of business?

:S

imransadiq, what were your SAT scores?

i’m just curious.

btw, does anyone know how many people from pakistan apply to schools like harvard/princeton/yale/stanford/mit every year?

@Inert101: I got a 2370.

Math - 770
CR - 800
Writing - 800

Darn it! I got one question wrong in math. I hate this curve!

That’s awesome man. Where are you from?

I have a 2050 on my SAT (superscored) and thinking about applying to U of Rochester, Vanderbilt and Cornell.

Hey guys, this is tetrisfan from India. Just wanted to invite you all onto the Class of 2014 thread - it’s a pretty fun place to be!

@imransadiq: Haha, good joke, but really, what did you get?

Also can anyone answer my earlier question about how many people apply to HYPMS from Pakistan?

Inert101: Why do you think it’s a joke?

Many apply to HYPSM but very few get accepted. A lot of people have misinformed opinions about getting admitted to these colleges. A few days ago one of my friends said “I have 9 A’s in O-Level and will get 2100+ on my SAT so I have good chances at Stanford and MIT. Stanford is easier.” W.T.F

It’s a joke because that’s exactly what I got…

hello hi ker raha hoon

JUst chill chill, just chill. we are the BOYZZZ. AITCHISON ZINDABAD

How about we actually get serious?

You guys have great scores. Best of luck getting into those big places.

oh yes. I like big things
