U took a Gap year ??

@Samtjt: Oh I see; this way they can tell their children later on that they got into Stanford but never could go ;)

@Dark_Angel: I didn’t “take” a gap year; circumstances forced it on me. If it would have been for me, I would have been in Curtin doing a 4 years B.Com degree in 3 years since I had been given an exemption from the foundation due to my marks. But as it goes; man proposes, God disposes sigh :)

So all the people in this topic mostly live in Pakistan? Isloo, Lahore? A-levels/FSc/etc? :)

Well Guys is it possible to transfer To A-levels ( Grade 13 ) after doing Fsc or from any other board ?

A levels = giving papers of A level…which u can give any time after u v secondary school certificate!!!So u can do A levels after ur High school/Fsc or even ur degree…!I don’t think the board taking the exam has got any problem with that!!!

BTW why people leave their DIRTY WORK of adding acceptances to few members of the thread…Do it yourself guys…there is no ban!!!

YEA but can you join an A-level institution after FSc for Grade 13 ?

@Samtjt: Do I add all the universities I got into, or just the one I plan on going to?

@Dark_Angel: You CAN join an A-level institution. But you have to make sure how many subjects (plus FSc) the university you plan to go to wants. For example, a LOT of universities in Canada look at both O-levels and A-level grades for GCE students, but you won’t be able to provide the O-level scores. So check with the universities first :)

Actually, I really don’t think people apply to college just to get in and not go. Whoever thinks they do, is not talking any sense.

pshhht who needs college

@The Juggernaut
I was just saying that many people who get into colleges but don’t get aid/scholarship do not end up going to that college due to financial reasons…

And many people do apply to UK univz(coz application process is very cheap) and end up not going there mainly because of financial reasons…Thr r not many who can pay 21000 pounds/year as Imperial’s fee for 4-years…

not to forget the exorbitant living expenses there!

I agree with Samtjt. I’ll admit that last year when I was applying, I knew that if I don’t get aid, there won’t be no point even if I get accepted.

2 Cambridge acceptances of LGS Defence…Confirmed Now…So added late

LETS discuss SUMMER INTERNSHIP AND RESEARCH IN PAKISTAN

any good places for summer intern , or NGO organization if u knw , OR some good places for research assistants LETs discuss !!

Hey guys my academic achievements are
O levels:8As 3Bs
As levels:3As 1B
SAT :2040
what are my chances at
NYU Stern
UCLA
London School of Economics
Cambridge

No financial aid I can pay for these colleges

Hey Saad… I’m pretty sure you’ll get into NYU and UCLA if u dont plan to apply for aid. I have a cousin with no A’s at O level who got into NYU (liberal arts)… For LSE, it pretty much depends on the course… a lot of competition for economics and A.C &F but its easier to get into management sciences, sociology, etc. So choose wisely!
I got rejected from cambridge… … Had 12 A’s at O level! and predicted 4A* at alevel! but dont let that stop u from applying. Try at blow them off at the interview if u get one

And I have an 1840 in my SAT… and applied to NYU for liberal arts so youre pretty much In! be optimistic!
