Lol i wanted to say da same :P

yea, i’m at Lafayette majoring in some sort of engineering. Dont know which one right now, though.

ahsan and dark_angel, your scores and grades are in the range but what matters is how they stand in comparison with people in your school. Your essays will determine how good your application is though. Use it to tell your story, it doesnt matter if it seems ‘unique’/‘cool’ enough to anyone else. Make sure you tell them who YOU are.

cant send you the essays for multiple reasons, the first being that it’ll only serve to inhibit you. I’ll be happy to look over your essays if you need me to, after December 20th.

@Khan91
My essays are on my way to you then :)

yea sure i will be sending to u and talha to have a gud critque

and btw no one applying to US 4m my clg
so i do really stand out :P

Well the whole college setting depends on you. I never liked the 2500 student body thing so I applied to really big school, like here the undergrad pop is like 26000 and I like it Plus the surrounding areas also makes a huge difference. One of the reasons I didn’t apply to Cornell is because it’s in Ithica which is by far one of the most boring places, sure it’s in NY and you can go to NYC but how often will you go? And it’s easier said than done. Here in LA, we have so many attractions (like the LA Car show which is going on right now). And believe me, whichever college you choose, you’ll always have some activity to do and whatnot. Weather is an important factor too, I’m not really a fan of the arctic cold , it gets cold here in LA but the ‘good’ kinda cold :)

Plz chance me ( i created a thread on Chance me fourum )

http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/824567-chance-me-lafayette-other-i-will-chance-u-back-i-promise.html

joiya550, Cornell might be in the middle of nowhere, but the campus is just gorgeous. It’s down to personal taste, I suppose.

Did you guys apply/are you applying in 13th grade or 12th grade? I know most kids in Pakistani schools graduate after 13 grades, but is anyone here different?

Btw, EA/ED decisions are coming up, good luck everyone

Have the numbers (who doesn’t) but the people from this country are just too smart!
they’ve supposedly never taken anyone from our school since the 70s… we had a stanford acceptance last year and this year’s class is one of our strongest ever, so let’s see!
