*******The Official POST YOUR ACT SCORES After Waiting A VERY Long Time THREAD!******

with prep it shouldn't be that hard to raise to a 30.

Can someone help me. I need serious help with timing. I could not finish any of the sections on time. #1 probably because I didn't know what to expect heh. Anyways on math I got a 28. That's with guessing on 12-15 problems that I ran out of time. Time is such an issue.

Yeah, its mostly about practice and your prior ability. A lot of it is just the ability to figure out what type of problem it is, and attack it directly. If you have any hesitation about a problem, and you try to approach it in ever which way, your going to have a lot of trouble. Quite a few of my buddies couldn't finish the math and the science.

I wish I could tell you there is a clear cut strategy for me, but I think it has to do with how I have been taught since an early age.

The key is practice practice practice. Its hard to formulate a strategy about wide varieties of math problems.

Whew! Finally got the scores.

Composite: 35

English: 36
Math: 33
Reading: 36
Science: 35

Two questions away from a 36! But this is still awesome.

I hate you guys. I need to do well by the December one or I am not getting into my top choice schools.

***. Choked on reading hard

2nd Try
Composite: 32 ---- E 34 M 33 R 26 S 33
1st Try
Composite: 31 ---- E 28 M 32 R 30 S 35

Wow didn't even improve much, only by 1 pt (adding all sections together) in the end.

Composite:35
Reading: 36
Math: 35
Science: 35
English: 34

dont know how i did so bad on english... oh well

I got a 35 on the math section, but my subscores were 18, 15, and 17

did that happen to anyone else?

I just want to shoot and kill all of you. I do not know why all of you even retake your scores. Do you have any idea how I feel? I am very solid all around until test scores come into the picture. Yeah omg 34 how did I mess up so bad.... You gotta be fricken kidding me.... Wow. Get a life. People like me want to get a 30 and it is very difficult. I am not good at these types of tests, it isnt fair damn it. Arhh I am so stressed out right now. No way in hell Tufts, Notre Dame, or Boston College will take me with my current score.

Jake, do not judge your scores based on what poeple got on this forum. A 26 is still decent because most people on this forum use this forum because they are good and like taking the ACT which will mean that they will get a good score.

Also, you should not judge other people by their scores. Some poeple are naturally good at the ACT.

35 Composite

34 English
36 Math
33 Reading
35 Science

If it makes you feel better, I have a 27 Composite (25 E / 28 M / 27 R / 27 Science). Was shooting for a 30, but oh well. I'm happy with mine

still kicks my score's ass though lol. Damn it. I need a 30 in December. Time to find a prep book and find a way to finish on time.

Getting a 26/27 whatever is still really good, look at the percentiles, it's in the range at a lot of really great schools. Good luck with Dec. =)

Composite - 32

English - 34
Math - 30
Reading - 35
Science - 27

I'm quite pleased. I almost decided to go back to sleep and not go take the test, but figured I might as well give it a shot, so I'm happy I did. Wish the Math and Sci were higher so that kills me just a teeny bit, since I just totally ran out of time on both, but oh well, I'm a humanities person anyway.

Composite-34

English- 34
Math- 31
Reading- 34
Science- 36

I'm really excited. I raised it from a 32 with no prep at all. I walked out thinking I had done really badly. So yeah, I'm really happy.

Ok foxshox, you win. You are far more Ali G than me lol

Composite: 34
Reading: 36
Math: 35
Science: 32
English: 31

Up from a 33 (36 math, 36 reading, 35 sci, 26 Eng).

Why cant they use your best combination?!?!?!?!

when does act mail out scores? since my scores aren't in the database, i might just not pay for early viewing and wait for it in the mail.

act blows.

BOO HOO...why don't i have a pity party for the people retaking the ACT w/a 34...i can't understand it. I struggle with standardized tests, just got it back and got a 23...2nd time..1st i got a 25...and i'm within the top 8% at my school

GO figure lol

I can't believe people seriously think they NEED to improve on a 34 or a 33...it's almost rediculous...i mean, i know a 25 will get me nowhere even with all my other credentials which i believed were decent...but one damn test score ruins it all. oh well, i still think standardized tests are a conspiracy >:O

Guten abend

MechRocket, I'm in the same boat as you are. Sigh....
How ridiculous is this?!
