Indifference to fascination was how her view of history changed, or something like that.

EDIT: The answer "unrealistic and naive" was for how she realized her earlier hopes (of how she'd feel upon returning to Korea) were.

oh yeah what did independent mean in that passage. once she went there she thought that she'd feel independednt

ANYONE know the letter for the question about winter/summer solutions, was it d?

yea but wasnt she right though she felt like she stood out a mile so herr feeling was corect

i'd thought she'd fit in once going to vietnam or whatever country she's from

Oops, I didn't say what I meant. Yeah, "unrealistic and naive" is her view in hindsight. She thought she would fit in, but then realized this hope was unrealistic and naive.

so is it sensible and practical

or naive

naive.......

ahh would 3 wrong be like a 65

Don't worry - CR has a generous curve. 3 wrong and all else correct is low-to-mid 70s.

the uncle's tone was wry, not surly.

for the problem (x+y)(x^2-y^2)=0 ....err, something like that....
one set of parentheses must equal zero. i solved by plugging in numbers.
at first i tried 2=x 2=y, which works, so it is possible x=y
and then i tried x=-y, x=2 y=-2, which also works ... since they both work it has to be x^2=y^2 :)

14 was the median for whatever that problem was... i dont remember the problem but i do remember writing out all the numbers in a row and counting in... oh yes, a very advanced method ;-) (but hey, whatever works)

for the lincoln center question: it must be resembles, because none of the othr choices were verbs and without having resembles as a verb the sentence would be a fragment. (i used to live in lincoln center so i will KICK myself if i got that wrong haha!)

salem witch trials: To ignore blahblahblah is -TO NEGLECT- blahblahblah.
its a parallellism thing, because the verb ignore is an infinitve the verb neglect must also be an infinitive

there was a math question asking about the area of a square and a rectangle... i chose x^2+xy i believe. you could figure out the length by means of the triangle in the rectangle.

i cant remember any other problems right now... but i feel pretty good about it

low 70s.... not good at all

^Hey, it's better than 65. And you probably did fine on the other sections.

in this passage independent nearly means inconspicuous or something like that

bc at home she "stuck out" being asian, so in korea she thought she would be independent of that.

yea its inconspicious

dammit, this solution thing is killing me, so far i have an 80 in math but im not sure about this one problem. does anyone know if the answer to the winter/summer solution was choice D? i know it was 30 but i dont know if 30 was D or not

it is not d it is c it goes from 30,36,48

what is the question to the one about if the horizontal and vertical crosses add up to the same thing then x=1?

lets start compiling the biography short passage answers
