what were the choices for the chimp one? wasn't hitting a tree trunk one of them?

I think the answer was eating termites for the chimp one.

Psycho, why?

Something is bugging me... there was this one word I didn't know, and now I can't think of what it was. It was in the last sentence completion, on the 1st section (I think). It was like redicivities or something like that (it was not the correct answer)... anyone remember?

oh, contumacious, the answer was itinerates for the bird question

EDIT: sry... i can't remember too :/

haha yeah, but what was that other word?

Did anybody else think the Writing section was really easy? Usually there are at least one or two questions that I am just SO torn on, but I didn't seem to have any problems this time... unless I'm completely mistaken :-/

jdroz32--all of the other choices involved the chimps on both sides having the materials available to them. The termite choice, however, stated that one side did not have termites available to them, so of course they couldn't do things with the termites. Thus, that choice stood out.

in the astrophysics passage, was the answer to the question about the purpose of the word "unfortunately" an expression of consternation of the twinkling stars or something else?

How did you guys do the chair one? I simply added the rates up together... and averaged yet i got it wrong

the chair question was a weighted average, because in the first 3 hours the rate of production was higher than in the next 5 hours. average: 52.5.

got that one right (!)

what would i get on math if i got 4 wrong....dw...i dont want semifinalist lol....just commended, and how bout with 3 wrong for cr and 3 for writing

sinNombre-
I picked a different one for that one...I don't remember which. I am probably wrong though.

And for writing, I remember a question comparing becoming athletic by watching TV and becoming healthy by reading medical textbooks.

I put the error on the second "as." To me, it sounded wrong idiomatically. What did others put?

I chose the same answer because that comparison required "than" instead of "as."
