[]Essays: One about passion for science, the other humorous
[]Teacher Recs: One from science teacher amazing (best student ever-ish). One from humanities also excellent. Asked an Ivy professor (with whom I research) to send a letter also.
[]Counselor Rec: Great.
[]Interview: Went awesomely. Dude was totally chill. He called and was all like Get your stuff in cause youre gonna do maaad good
[]Hook (if any): I can drop some mad beatz
[/ul]
Personal:
[ul]
[]Location (State or Country): Alas, NY
[]Ethnicity & Gender: Asian male
[]Major strength/weakness: research/MIT doesnt like me, applied as a physics major. Id assume more weaknesses than strengths, since I was, you know, rejected.
[]Your thoughts on your decision: I was rejected because when the admissions officer tossed my application into the accept pile, the Coriolis effect made it shift to the other pile.
[/ul]
Any other comments: Sall good. Doesnt make me any less awesome at dropping ill beatz. Also, and this may have been big: I didn't tell them about a lot of my accomplishments (pertaining to research and math and science particularly) until it may have been too late - like first couple days of March. They say it doesnt make a difference, but it's possible.

Why is it green for "Rejected?" That makes little sense to me...green means go, and I'm not going to MIT. Red means stop, and the Coriolis effect (see above) stopped me from going to MIT.

Any other comments: I'm posting this on behalf of my friend who got in. She's always wanted to go but she is unsure if she will actually enroll in the school due to fin. aid (At least that is what she told me). Although she did nothing truly amazing, she is the perfect kind of person to attend MIT... She literally kills herself everyday caring about everything from academics to making sure she calls that sick teacher at home to see how they are doing. It's almost ridiculous at times. Anyways, hope this helped.
