don't give up pris and aspiringpat! you still have a chance! just let admissions know you REALLY want to go there. write letters and poems and send recommendations. harass them till the cows come home! (that's what I would do, at least)

^^ROFL! Should the poems be about how much I long to go to Barnard? =D

And aspiringpat- wow! Awesome stats....suddenly the waitlist doesn't seem like such a bad place to be in. ;)

As I think you said in another thread, pris89, Barnard's all about learning who the individual is BEHIND the stats. You both have awesome stats, but look back at your application and see if you emphasized the personal side of you. You know, who you are outside of school and studying. I read a book that suggested even rewriting your essays and resubmitting them when you are waitlisted. Go back and see if you showed who you were as an individual, rather than emphasizing your stats and achievements.

As to the poems, I personnally would send in work that shows who you are rather than who you want to be (a Barnard student). But that's just me. Do what you wish.

Good luck ladies!!! I'm rooting for you!

Congratulations to all of you girls who were accepted!

Unfortunately, I was placed on the waitlist. Just as "pris89" asked earlier, do any of you know how many people are placed on the waitlist and what are the odds of clearing it? I won't get myself too excited because I hear that getting off of a waitlist is nearly impossible.
