I figured we should start a “Results” thread several days before decisions are released. Yeah, I’m jumping the gun, but hey…I’m excited! I just want to thank all the girls I’ve met through the Barnard forum for all the support. You are all amazing, and wherever you end up attending, you will be successful and happy! :)

Um, yeah, I snagged this from the Boston University forum…hope no one will mind. You don’t have to use the format, of course…but I figured it would look snazzy ;)

I really was hoping I did not have to be here alone when the decision came in the mail, but it looks like Monday or Tuesday will be THE DAY

Barnard is her DEFINITE first choice!
At this point she is doing better than I am...she never reads this board and is pretty busy these days. But I know she is pretty anxious. As long as nothing crazy happens, I think/hope she will be okay. Her stats are pretty similar to yours and (as far as the standardized tests go), a little higher than "Silver's"...and her class rank is in the top one percent of her (over 700 students) class...ranking actually rose after her first semester this year a couple of places. I am trying to reassure myself here, so I will stop now.

I am very happy for you...it sounds like you have some big decisions to make now, right?

Your daughter has a very good chance! Don't worry about it! Her class rank is very impressive.

Yeah, I have a lot of decisions to make :) Barnard hasn't notified me about financial aid yet, and that's a key factor in where I decide to go. Barnard is my top choice, though.

Moose, I was told a couple of weeks ago (by someone in Barnard fin aid) that the admit notices would tentatively be sent on the 25th and the financial aid on the 26th....but she said not to quote her, so I am not....

Congrats on (evidently) getting accepted, though! We are still waiting here in GA...
