Fantastic recs

I don't know what went wrong...

I seem to be having problems at all of my private schools (waitlisted at Reed and Scripps, rejected at Pomona, Barnard, Macalester, Georgetown, and Colorado College). Talk about frustrating!

It's so impossible to tell, peace. But no point in second guessing your application at this point. Just hope for the best for the rest of your decisions!

I never went to the overnight myself, but I host a student every year and they seem to have a really good time. If you're undecided, it's a great chance to get a better impression. If you're already sold on the school, it's a great time to start getting excited about being a Barnard student. Either way, win-win!

i'm really sorry to hear that peace.. where else are u expecting to hear from?

Waiting on Berkeley, Wesleyan, CMC, Bowdoin, Trinity, Mount Holyoke, and Tufts (EDI, deferred). All but 2 are reaches (fortunately, I'm in at UC Santa Barbara and UC Davis, so at least I'll get to go SOMEWHERE). Barnard was one of my favorites... Oh well, I'll survive!

im waiting on wesleyan and cmc too
but dont wanna go there

oh congrats on the ucs!!!
go u!

Location/Person:**
[ul]
[] State or Country: New Jersey
[] School Type: Public
[] Ethnicity: Asian American
[] Major strength/weakness: i have to say a little weak on the SAT scores and no interviews were available; took the most vigorous course schedule offered at school; well-rounded ECs; tutoring
[] Why you think you were accepted/rejected/waitlisted: if i had only had an interview...and SAT scores too; maybe the "why barnard" question needed a little more work because it's definitely my first choice still!
[/ul]

Accepted ^_^

SAT: 1490
GPA: I have two GPAs cuz I went to two different schools and they do GPAs differently so...3.6 and 3.8.
APs: 8 AP courses, AP scholar

Ethnicity: Asian American
State: Kentucky (yee haw teehee)
School type: went to both public and private
weakness: no interviews, didn't visit, GPA kind of low
strength: um...I don't know ^^' maybe I got lucky!

hi! i got accepted :) i dont really want to fill out the semi-imposing stats, cause i dont like to publicize scores and such, but i'm from long island (hop skip and a jump from barnard!!) i'm really excited about this because I'm already in the neighborhood a lot for orchestra rehearsals and such, and my sister just graduated from barnard last may, so ive been waiting for this for a while, haha.

i'm not definite, though -- it's between barnard and one other school at the moment, but i hear from another one tomorrow holds breath so we'll have to see. but at any rate, congratulations to everyone who was accepted, and good luck to the waitlisters -- i know that's really tough, it happened to me too at another school. and i wish everyone the best wherever they end up next year!

peace, i'm in the same situation - 1430 SAT, 700-730 SATII, countless hours of community service & music, JHU and Columbia summer programs every year since 6th grade, great recs and essays... I guess it just comes down to how much of a crap shoot the decision process is.

Totally regretting my choice now to apply to only seven schools (excluding Harvard EA - was deferred for that one.)

moo-chan where did u get in?

oh and constellation im most likely going too!
ive already decided im joining DG too hehe :)
see u there maybe!
