In anticipation of tomorrow's mailing of decisions, let's get a template ready. I "borrowed" this from the MIT board (thanks mercurysquad).

Before posting take out the spaces after the initial brackets in each tag. Any text editor worth its salt should be able to do that (find and replace "[ " with "["). It's really annoying to read otherwise.

why you think you were accepted/rejected/defered: I showed a lot of interest in Stanford... visited several times, wrote several letters after being deferred in December

Does Stanford show preference in the admission process for students who have demonstrated their interest by visiting, calling and emailing?
Not at all. Contacting the Admission Office is neither a requirement nor an advantage in our admission process.

yeah... I wasn't a pest or anything...
All I did was send a very positive letter saying that Stanford was still by far my first choice even after I was deferred SCEA. I also wrote in my optional update for deferred students about some of the things about Stanford that I had experienced firsthand (through my two visits) and tried to express my strong interest and desire to go to Stanford.
I never called the admissions office...

No luckybonbon; Southern Californians should expect to receive mail tomorrow regarding Stanford. It takes two days to get here. International students got notification via e-mail and other U.S. students must have been deferred and gotten a phone call, or mail just moves faster, even though they're out of state.
