***The Official Still Haven't Heard from USC thread***

<p>Was hoping to hear from USC either today or yesterday and nothing still. I guess that means I'm going to have to wait until monday now.</p>

<p>I got rejected from Notre Dame today. :( It was the hardest place I applied and I kind of expected it. USC has been my #1 choice for awhile though. Hopefully, they're not as selective as ND.</p>

<p>My stats:
SAT: 1350
GPA: 3.7 W, 3.3 UW</p>

<p>I applied to USC Cinema, and I haven't seen anyone on this board get accepted to that department yet, so that's about the only thing I got going for me.</p>

<p>I'm not really expecting to get in, but there's still a shot I suppose.</p>

<p>Anyone else? :(</p>

<p>I just heard today....rejected. I'm a little surprised and my stats arent bad either :</p>

<p>SAT: 1320 (I know kinda low, but all of my SAT II's were in the 700s)
GPA: 4.3 W
Rank: 5/92 top 5%

<p>I don't get it because I was accepted to Berkeley, UCLA, and NYU...It's alright though, cuz I wanted to go to the east coast anyway.</p>

<p>I'm sure you will excel at those awesome schools. USC is getting so competitive this year. Since you are one of the few who has heard so far, do you think you could paraphrase what the letter said? Or what was it? A small letter?</p>

<p>It was a small, thin letter and it basically said "I am sorry...." blah blah blah. If you got in, I hear it is a big, thick package...I'm still soo surprised! I've even a daughter of an alum.</p>

<p>adore- are u seroius? your stats should totally have gotten you in! what is your gpa unweighted? (no matter what it is, i bet its good, because 4.3 weighted is really good). Thats really strange!</p>

<p>Can you do the people (who havent heard) a little favor? Go to <a href="http://www.usc.edu/admevents%5B/url%5D"&gt;www.usc.edu/admevents&lt;/a> and see if it lets you log in. Rumor has it that the people who are rejected can't go through.</p>

<p>I would hate to be the bearer of bad news...but I did try that and I couldn't get through...I guess the rumor is true...But for the other rumor about the Oasis page, that is a little tricky because I was able to log on to that but obviously that doesn't mean anything because I was rejected</p>

<p>I'm not sure of my unweighted gpa, but I'm pretty sure it's around a 4.0...</p>

<p>let me tell you guys a little story:</p>

<p>i applied as a transfer for fall 2004. around july, i started to call the admissions office, they kept telling me that the my letter had been sent in the mail. it happened to be a rejection letter. i was like what the hell? i had good stats too, and was admitted out of highschool in fall 2002. so iwas like whatever im over it. a week later, i get a letter from fin aid office saying i need to complete my finaid file asap, since i will be enrolled in fall 2004. i thought this was a simple mistake and i call the finaid office to tell the i was actually rejected and to stop sending me mail. the lady was like, uhhhh well all our admin office gives the names of applicants who have been accpepted so the finaid office can finish the finaid process for applicants and i was one of them, she said she would double check and she said she was sure i was accepted. what the hell? i call the dean personally. she said it sounds like there may have been a mistake somehwere, and that i would here back via postal mail. week later, i got a large thin envelope with a letter: congratulations, welcome to the trojan family. ookk. it also said to disregard any previous notice. in mid august, i got the offical "packet". woo woo, and here i am.</p>

<p>there's still hope! i had a friend who didn;'t hear like me, but today he recieved a letter from financial aid. he called in and they told him he DID make it in. he majored in theatre tech, i believe.</p>

<p>i didn't get mine today! i'm thinking about just calling them and demanding they tell me. haha</p>

<p>My twin still hasn't heard. We kind of expect him to get in I guess, since logging into that OASIS thing worked. We live in Northern California.</p>

they told me to call back thurs if i still haven't received it and they'll tell me on the phone</p>

<p>Ok, is anyone else here ****ED? Because I mean, by now, I'm quite certain it's going to be a rejection, but COME ON, at least tell me SOMEHOW, e-mail, phone, I DON'T CARE. They said by April 1st. What the hell. </p>

<p>And being fully qualified for USC doesn't help things either. This sucks.</p>

<p>I called and the lady said that my letter went out only april 4. I was like: </p>

<p>oh...weren't all the letters suppose to go out by 4/1?
her: yes, but there was a particular group of students whose letters were mailed out on 4/4
me: the rejection letters (in a joking way)?
her: no, not necessarily.</p>

<p>what's that supposed to mean?!?!? waitlisted???</p>

<p>looks like im in deathlane then, its april 7th and i was told mine was sent on march30th or april 1st. Maybe mine didn't send at all? hahaha
gee this SUCKS! I NEED to get into USC like BAD............. :(</p>
