Okay, so by now, we all know where we've been accepted and rejected, and now the time comes to make the decision. Apparently I'm not alone in the fact that I am absolutely freaking out about this, so I thought it would be a good idea to have a "comfort thread" where I can go when I'm freaking out, and read anecdotes or positive statements to help me get through this awful, awful(yet somewhat exciting time). I realize that there are anecdotes all over the threads, but it would be nice to have them all in one place. It shouldnt be tailored to helping one particular person(and there are plenty of us that need help/reassurance, believe me) but just a general thread of love/support :)

I'll start:
I'm struggling with rejecting NYU in favor of the University of Evansville for various reasons(AHHHHH), but I often have to sit myself down and remind myself that a certain college does not absolutely guarantee you success in the field. Successful actors have come out of high-profile conservatories, and successful actors have come out of schools no one has ever heard of. When you look at Tony or Oscar noms, it's not one school straight down the board. It is you who makes your own success, not the school you come from. (That being said, its true that networking and alumni connections help, but every school has those) I personally am just entranced with any kind of advanced acting training, but I remind myself that its about what fits me personally. I can get advanced training at any of the schools I got into, but I need to go to the school that will work best for me.

If you have any success stories or anecdotes about kids who were unsure of their choice, but ended up loving it in the end, please post! I'm sure many of us would appreciate it.
