The official thread for HIGH SCHOOL CLASS OF 2012!

Stop bashing on this kid. I was here as a freshman, too; I was even here as an incoming freshman -GASP-. Honestly, CC has its bad points, but it has taught me a lot about college admissions and stuff.

That being said, 631 posts outside of HSL is going slightly overboard. But at least you’re better off than a lot of us if you only come on the weekends.

By all means, let there be a thread for rising-sophomores if someone wants there to be. If you don’t like it, you don’t have to go in it.

While it is kind of early, all 4 years are important and it’s never “too” early to start thinking.

So chilll.

Except that it’s Tuesday.

…so? 10 char

Facepalm

That’s what ShampooSwallower gets for the ninja post.

Cookie…sex?

(To the OP: gl on your stuff.)

(sigh) Life as a freshman. haha, the good ol’ days. word of advice: get out while you have the chance.

Haha, I remember looking at CC as a freshman and thinking I was so stupid compared to the upperclassmen geniuses…

Believe me, the best thing you can do for yourself at this point is find what you’re interested in. Take Honors courses, and find your little “niche” that you can explore all throughout high school. I think the most important thing I did for myself freshman year was find out I liked physics.

You’ll be stressed enough in coming years. Enjoy freshman year :]

Hey, I’m class of 2012!

^Follow the thread - only 2 years early.

Have a fun 10th,11th,and 12th grade.=P. It feels like an eternity.

As a rising senior I will say that CC can be useful for rising sophomores; I would have done quite a few things differently had I found this place earlier than I did. As long as you don’t get obsessed with it and let it take away your social life lol, college shouldn’t be your primary concern (yet!)

In NY, Integrated Algebra is the regular 9th grade course. I still don’t see how that could be accelerated for anyone in 10th grade.

And on the weekends thing, 3 months means 12 weekends, which is 24 days. Divide 631 by 24 and you get around 26. Are you saying that you post 26 times on forums other than HSL every Saturday/Sunday?

Thanks mul and thiscouldbeheaven. I am taking Accelerated Integrated Geometry next year, I miss wrote the first post. I come mostly on weekends, but I will come maybe one or two times on weekdays. It really depends on homework and etc. Also, I see we have someone from 2012. :)

I prob. will come on more this summer, lol. I also don’t know if Simon’s Rock will work out, but you never know. My grades aren’t that great, I have a 3.198 GPA and in all honors and one AP class. How bad will 2 72’s (one from each semester in math) hurt my chances?

Oh yeah, thanks tsubomi1993 and invo. And how are you elfin?

Thanks Elle, too. If you have nothing nice to say, don’t say it.

72s aren’t good. I don’t see why you would go to Simon’s Rock a year early when you could go somewhere better if you stuck around another year. That being said, you really need to get your GPA up if you want to keep your options up.
