I just played in gym with everyone and we really didn’t play by the rules, lol. Like we stayed in one place and we always had our teams. Guys and Girls played (more girls), but we only had one volleyball net. I don’t have volleyball experience, but I was pretty good compared to everyone else. I want to make a volleyball club just for fun! There also isn’t any volleyball opportunities for guys at my school or around the area. Volleyball is pretty much a girls sport where I live, lol. But in gym everyone liked it.

I think I may want to do volleyball in college, but I doubt I am going to have any real experience the time that happens. I also don’t have gym anymore, so I won’t be playing it that much. I tried to get everyone together from gym to play, but it’s too much work with everyone schedule.

I go to a Catholic school. My parents are devout Catholics. I go to Church every Sunday. I am Agnostic. Kinda funny how things work out.

My mom is Catholic, dad Jewish LOL. My parents aren’t that religious, but I go to go to church (not in the summer though) every Sunday. I go to mass and then Sunday School. I am going to get my confirmation this school year.

What is your turn of Agnostic? I have heard it used different ways. I always thought it was someone who believes in God, but does not go to church. But I had a friend and she said I was wrong, she said it is people who go to church but who aren’t sure they believe in God.

I am not that religious as some kids I know. Here in the South, kids go to church every day. I believe most of the things Catholics believe and I want my kids raised Catholic. But I go more liberal in politics.

I’m actually more Conservative. My life is so ironic. Honestly, I think Catholic school turned me Agnostic though. I went to Sunday School as well, I never payed any attention to what we learned though. Oh yea, so freshmen year (mandatory religion class every year) I basically learned the Creed, and the ins and outs of Catholicism, the whole thing just did not make any sense to me. I need proof, evidence, I’m not one to blindly believe. I guess it’s because I don’t have faith? I think that makes me Agnostic … I don’t really know what I believe. There could be a God, and then there couldn’t, I just don’t know anymore.

Sunday school changed for me. When I was younger, it was like you got a book and then the teacher taught you. I learned a lot of stuff, more basic things. When I got in middle school, it got to be more of a hang out place. We played games and now it’s more like a social gathering. We talk about God/Jesus, but not like we use to. I think that you just have to have faith, there is going to be time in one’s life that they will have a struggle to find God. Mother Teresa had a struggle once in her life and she managed it.

The thing that bothers me are people who say that people who are Non-Christian will go to Hell. I have had people who told me this in my face and it’s like saying half your family will go to Hell and burn to death. I personally don’t know how I would do in Catholic School, but I like having people from all religions as friends. I would marry someone non Catholic. Religion isn’t that big of a deal to me, but I would prefer my wife and kids to believe the same things as I do. It’s different here in the South, because I am the minority. You don’t find many Catholic kids here and the people who are, are not from the same ancestors. I’m half Italian and you find more German/Irish people here.

I would also like to mention a story. This girl I know goes to my school/church and is actually on the swim team too. She always get picked on in church because she always knew the answers and she use to go to Catholic School. I was very nice to her and she is religious. Well I asked her to be my friend on facebook (thought she would say yes) and she denied me. I thought she would say yes, because we do go to church together. I do think though she didn’t like me, because I am not as perfect as she is. People from any religion can be very rude. Go Figure.

The kids in my Catholic school are far from religious. Sure, most of them are Catholic, per there parents, but thats about it. They have been baptized, had their communions, and are confirmed. A small minority are deeply religious / have tremendous faith in their religion. Those that are, usually help out during school retreats (held usually once a month) I’ve never been to any, except for the mandatory ones every year. They usually have a speaker who talks to us about a life changing experience, we play games and stuff, its actually a whole lot of fun. It has never helped change me mind.

But as I states, I lack very little faith. I guess it just has to do with my personality. I don’t trust people very easily, and I like cold hard evidence. I don’t tell my parents I am Agnostic. Like you stated, they would probably believe I’d go to hell. I live in a pre-dominantly Jewish neighborhood (Hasidic), but most of my parents friends are Catholic / Christian. I think as long as long as you believe in God, my parents have nothing against you. My parents are your typical Catholic Conservatives. =/. Whats even more ironic for me is … I want to get married in a Church. Weird, huh?

I have religious gatherings at my house.
Kinda sucks, they have the local priest come and pray and ****. But at least everyone brings food. :D

Ostonzi! You’re back! And with four “i’s”!!

osttttttttt. i was gonna say something about you posting earlier. but then i didnt.

Yea. Let’s just go along with his little bluffing game :]

I wonder if the number of “i’s” stands for something … :)

Haha. He’s probably collecting them…

imaginary numbers. ughhh … why did you remind me of those. i DO NOT want to think about math during the summer.

You tool. Check out the chance forums. They’re so funny …

I know, I am pretty damn brilliant. :P

Yea. Isn’t it shocking? I guess you better take off an “i” now…

ughh my smilie didnt show up. i guess i wasnt suppose to capitalize? :p

Ostonziii- It really isn’t a social gathering, it’s a place to learn about God/Jesus. I don’t want to waste my time socializing with people in church. I came to learn about my faith, not to become friends with other kids. I have friends at my school for that and most of my friends are Baptist or Methodist and I have friends who are Catholic too. I don’t know any Jewish kids (I know one who is half though), but I have Muslim friends though. The kids I know who are VERY religious are not Catholic, they are Baptist or Methodist. I told one girl who I am friends with and told her I’m going to be a Democrat and she FREAKED out. She didn’t understand how I couldn’t be Ruplican.

I use to live in South Florida and you would find a lot more Jewish people and I knew a girl who didn’t believe in God in 4th grade and her mom didn’t either. It seems lots of people believe what there parents think. I cannot believe a priest comes to your house, lol. I feel like I have to be an angel when I’m around them. When you have class, do they ever bring God or Jesus into the discussion? In public school, you would never do that. I really don’t like talking about politics or religion with friends, because most have different views. I should have never told some friends I likes Hillary Clinton, lol. Do you guys have to have confession in school and mass? I personally tell God my sins and I haven’t gone to confession since 2nd grade and I know a lot of kids who only did it once. I think it is not as popular as it once was, it may be different for you though. My Sunday School teacher came into my public school to talk about sex/pregnancy (her job) and then I rem seeing her at church (Sunday School) a couple days later talking about abortion.

I havent been in confession since my first communion, haha. And yea, we have an on-campus priest. We have a school mass once a month, and our priest is always there to talk too. A few of the more religious people talk to him, he is always open for confessions.

In my religion class we always have debates about topics like abortion, capital punishment, and euthanasia. It’s pretty interesting, my junior year religion teacher (gonna be a senior next year) was pretty amazing. He didn’t try and shove Catholicism down our throats, he just asked us our opinions and told us how the Church viewed those topics. Very enlightening, I’m going to miss that class. Sophomore year religion, was basically another history class though, it was a joke. I guess I learned the most about Catholicism freshman year.

I live in NJ, btw. Very liberal. But since I do go to a Catholic school, most kids that go there are Conservative, as am I. I’m not sure if its because of my family though, after all I’m not really a devout Catholic.

Yep, 2nd grade was my first communion. How do you have debates about abortion, capital punishment and etc? So was there any Pro Choice people? We talked about abortion in church and I felt they pushed it down our throats A LOT. I hated that, because I am my own person! They just gave a one sentence why we all have to believe it… I would love to have your religion teacher!

I live in Georgia, btw. Very Conservative.

I think if I told the priest my views on some subjects, that I would need to find another religion. If you told your teacher you were Pro Choice, did he like report you? I believe that no one believes everything there religious believes. I think it is important to believe the main concept.
