BP IS THE COLLEGE EXPERIENCE

I’m a Geophysics major. Cause I like earthquakes an’ stuff. I’m thinking to minor in environmental studies. It’s like double-lettering in geekiness.

girls like geeks too.

ok everybody. I am going to get on the BEER PONG TRAIN! HOOTIE HOOT!

@solidblu—can you send me the technical instructions to BP? I am that type of person who needs the directions.

@edelynly—YAY! Women’s studies rocks! What is your preference… UCLA? berk? or any other UC? I feel like we never really talk that much…but I am glad to have found you. You are a diamond in the rough!

@jamesinho—geophysics sounds pretty bad a$$!

@Rwasko - welcome to the world of BP :)

rules of BP vary from house to house.

a game usually goes like this
-eye to eye, look at the opponent and throw. whoever makes it goes first.
-make it in a cup, they take the cup out and drink.
-both partners make it in different cups, balls back.
-both partners make it in the SAME cup, bomb, 3 cups out.
-usually 2 re-racks
-call a cup and make it, balls back
-make 3 in a row, balls back for “fire” as in “on fire”
-call an island, cup by itself, balls back
-death cup, a cup that was already out and left in by accident, and you make it, game over.
-once last cup is gone, losing team gets a rebuttal and shoots till they miss.
-losing team drinks all the remaining cups on your side and theirs.

oh dang… I feel old! 25 years old and I have never played beer pong. I feel like I have missed out on a rite of passage or something. Thanks for the inspiring words, my fellow cc buddies. Maybe we will all play one day…at ucla. :)

@UChopeful2010: i applied to CNR because of the small school feel, there is a really small number of students in college so the professor to student ratio in the courses in that college is much smaller than that of L&S. I also wanted the B.S. over the B.A. Also the chances are not that much different to be honest. Did you apply as EEP or engineering? Which school?

@ollieshuvitz: UCSC has pretty much the same thing, they have Environmental Studies/Economics Combined BA.

@Rwasko - I know! Where have you been all my life? Haha. I’m not sure yet (about schools). Berkeley is ranked number one! It just seems so much more fitting for the major. But UCLA… how can I say no to UCLA?! Major dilemma. How about you!

PS: I have never played beer pong either. Maybe it’s a women’s studies major thing. HAHA

you 2 are missing out. college is the only time you will get to play beer pong, party your face off, and get to study abroad. DO ALL 3!!! WORK HARD, PLAY HARD

I am feeling UCLA for a couple of reasons. Closer to my partner and my family. My partner lives in sd and cannot relocate with me…So UCLA seems so much more practical in that sense. I would be able to come down to sd on the weekends. Berkeley would be awesome though… I am not going to say that I have it mapped out completely but I pick UCLA! (for now).

I like that Berkeley is women/GENDER studies. I think that will make the department more well-rounded and world-famous. (I think I made up the world famous thing)

UCLA is still in my little beating heart. I love ucla. THERE I SAID IT. i love UCLA!!!

Hey guys. I’m a Development studies applicant for the college of letters at Berkeley. Anyone know if it’s hard to switch to the Environmental Econ & Policy major from my major? Any info on that

@Brazilbrasil: It shouldn’y be a problem if u switching to the EEP major in L&S. They will look at ur GPA and the coursework u have completed if it is satisfactory, they will let u switch, that’s my understanding of it. The avg GPA of EEP in L&S is (~3.7)

@CalBearGuy

Thanks man! So i dont have a 3.7, probably more like a 3.2 by the time I transfer…
does it matter as long as my math/econ grades are high?

@brazilbrasil: That’s totally up to the administrators over there, so i can’t say, but English is also part of the pre-reqs for EEP. Goodluck bro. I HELLA WANT UCB!!!

Ucb!!! Goodluck brudda

thanks man!!

Lol @Dainese. My friends play beer pong all the time! But I don’t know… the whole throw-a-ping-pong-ball-into-a-red-cup idea doesn’t excite me. Maybe I’m just off.

@Rwasko - I knowww, that’s a huge thing for me, too. I live in San Diego… Seeing my family/friends + free laundry! It’s like killing ten birds with one stone.

Beer pong is so last year… Or maybe even older… It’s all about crossfire and four corners.

BP is a classic. although throwing a ball into a cup isnt appealing when you type it. its just fun when you play with friends. we love to talk **** so…its perfect.

isnt crossfire basically BP in a + lol.
whats four corners?

Four corners? As in the game you play in elementary school? ahahha
