Since some UC decisions are out, I would like to find exactly how selective each UC is. We all know that the top UCs don’t show any matriculation data (such as avg GPA), so this topic will take a sample and experimentally determine that.
ONLY PEOPLE WHO APPLIED THIS TERM MAY SUBMIT DATA.
Please
a)List the UCs that accepted you.
b)Rank your choices from first to last IF every UC accepted you (non-ucs exempt).
c)Provide your GPA and SATI and II’s.

A) UC Riverside (so far)
B) Berkeley, LA, San Diego, Davis, Irvine, Santa Barbara, Riverside, Santa Cruz, Merced. (my realistic first choice is irvine and davis.
C) GPA: UC: 3.83
Sat 1: 1170
Sat2: History: 720. Writing: 640 Math IC: 450 yes i am stupid.

A) UC Riverside w/ Chancellor's Scholarship and UC Irvine.
B) UC Berkeley, UC Los Angeles, UC San Diego, UC Irvine / UC Santa Barbara, UC Riverside.
C) UC GPA: 3.82
SAT I: 730 (V) / 710 (M)
SAT II: 740 Writing / 700 Math IC / 740 US History

A)UCSC
B)No other UC's
C) in-state, 3.9 UW, 4.3 W, 33ACT, 710V, 710M, 750/680/690

does anybody know if they have notified chancellors scholarships already? I hope I have a chance of getting a chancellors or alumni scholarship, but no info about that came with my letter. Has anyone gotten a scholarship from UCSC?

a) UCLA (engineering majors informally notified earlier), UCI (w/ Regents and Campuswide Honors Program), UCSD (invited to Scholars' Day, so I guess that's a hint that I'm in)
b) UCLA, UCB, UCSD, UCI
c) 4.55 UC GPA, 1530, 800/740/740

btw: unless you took fewer than 4 classes in Soph or Jr year, how can your UC gpa exceed 4.50, and that is only possible if you limit yourself to 4 classes each year, all of which are honors/AP/IB. Since, UC limits honors/AP/IB bonus points to 8 semesters, or 4 full year classes, the max gpa you could earn in one year would be a 5.0, but the next year would be a 4.0 since you are limited to 8 semester credits....

yeah man, its funny, i mean it's not hard to reply to a thread when some dude has a 4.5 GPA and 1570 SAT, but when you're on the border like me, any help is appreciated.

got into Riverside with Chancellors, and i just (literally 5 minutes ago) got into UCSC :)
My stats:
*CA Resident
*1420 SAT I - 710 math, 710 verbal
SAT IIs: 750 Writing, 720 Math IIC, 760 Chem
ACT: 33.
*Took AP Chem, Bio, Physics B, English Language, Calc AB. one 5, three 4s, one 3 on the AP tests. Currently taking 4 APs.
*4.05 overall GPA. This is what really kills me.
our school doesn't do ranks but I'm sure I'm in top 25%.
Really strong ECs and community service- not worried about this part.
but hardly any leadership. =/
My essay is strong.
