guys… sorry to bring up one of those “what should i do” threads… but should i live in dorms or on campus apts? been thinking about it all week

live on campus it is something you will be able to experience only once

Campus hands down!

ON CAMPUS! i already submitted my housing app for UCLA lol

yeah but apts are on campus too. and i live on my own…going from a big house to a tiny dorm with 1-2 other people sounds so…crappy

i am in the same predicament. i would choose single suites or apts.
cuz i have lived in my own room my whole life and it would be weird to share now.

its an experience that is all I can say

edit: being an only child and having all my own stuff i think living with others will be an interesting experience everyone needs to get out of their comfort zone from time to time, it is healthy and allows you to grow as a person

well i didnt have my own room growing up… i just live in my own house all alone right now.

ugh i think im going to go for dorms because its easier, and i can meet more people

My cousin’s fianc

whosthis - How were the applications? Whadidya choose?

I think having a roommate will alleviate the transition. Having a friend by your side will make things much easier. But then again, your roommate might end up being a social hermit crab.

Ugh, if any of my roommates ever touch my makeup (any of my belongings, actually, but makeup is expensive as hell!) I will hurt them. Unless they ask. Because I’m nice. :)

i guess it would be cool but omg they broke your cousins MAC palette???

uh-uhhh that is a deal breaker! lol

ultimately i will be satisfied with what they end up giving me…even if its triples i guess…

yeah, us men don’t have to worry about no make-up being used/ destroyed

^
You’re lucky! D:

@Edelyn-unnie: Don’t judge me! ):! Just kidding. <3 You know the worst part? They didn’t replace it. My cousin is very nice, but I know she was ticked off. I mean, it took her a year to fill that palette, she paid for each eyeshadow with her own money and such… Her roommate only paid for her Studio Fix Fluid which broke…on the carpet. ):

@Jane-unnie I want to experience the dorm thing…but not with freshmen, that’s wrong…even though I am younger than them (for the most part) xDDDD.

i mean, I wouldn’t be ticked off if i was living with freshman since im only a year older than them but i definitely wouldn’t prefer living with them

If they’re anything like the kids my age…yeah…I would be angry.

I’m off to type up the paper and get a nap in before the gym. I hate Mondays. I’m disconnecting my internet, xD!

Good night minna~

Goooooood evening.

I cannot focus on my homework tonight. I’m so sleepy :(

Hey guys. So I’m kind of depressed right now. Those of you that kind of know me (especially nic/jane/evan) know that my parents do NOT want me to go to Berkeley. I always thought they’d be cool about it, because they always sort of said it jokingly.

Now that I got in though, things have changed. When I first told my mom I got in, my mom was silent for about 2 minutes - she was acting like her entire world had been rocked. I asked her why, and she said “I have been praying for a long time that you would not get into Berkeley.” So God didn’t listen to her…and she was devastated. Jeez! Now My mom is taking Berkeley as a much more serious threat :(. I put my CAL decal on my car today, and when my mom saw it, she started crying, and came to me and said “you wouldn’t really go to CAL, would you son?” I wanted to die! Dangit guys! I really wanted to leave home on a positive note! I don’t want my family to hate me I’ve done my best to convince my mom that CAL isn’t as bad as her Christian friends tell her it is, but she won’t listen.

I feel like now, if I go to CAL, they will treat me like some ungrateful, hating son. They would love for me to either go to UCLA or Davis. UCLA, because it is close to home, and I can go to their church, and Davis, because they haven’t heard liberal things about it.

Sigh :(

Wow! Your parents must be super conservative.

To be honest, you’re the one going to college… for yourself. To better yourself. So what if Berkeley is notoriously liberal? That doesn’t mean everyone is. What is your mother afraid of? That you’ll meet a super liberal atheist (such as myself) and you’ll come home a changed man?

As much as I like to convince people to go to UCLA (GO BRUINS!) I think going to Berkeley, where YOU want to go, would be beneficial for you. Like I said… you’re the one going away to college, go where YOU want to go.

go where you feel like you belong.
and
if you’re scared go to church.

lol i had to throw that lyric up there.
