@Chitosiri Thank you for your information. 3.94 with one B in plsc… One ENGL IP. I have to say that UCLA really cares about GPA and TAP I wonder if they have even taken a look at my PS. I worked on both of them for more than one month and m super satisfied with them.

For Haas, essays are 35% of the admission criteria. Based on your gpa, you’re well above the average for Haas. If you are confident about the quality of your essays, along with your ECs (15% of the Haas admission criteria), I truly believe you have a solid shot at Haas.

anyone know how much difficult to get into UCB with Development studies?? i got rejected from UCLA with global studies, so im so nervous…

@happy123all
Yes. I do, but that’s not an @ symbol, it’s just the © copyright symbol. I have application #35 then. But I don’t think that has anything to do with it. I think that’s just information about the version and other info about the calcentral website.

@Chitosiri Yeah but we are competing with 400+ excellent applicants as well, which is actually the reason I am worried about:) What’s ur stat btw? If I may ask

@soony0107 I also got rejected from Ucla and applied to ucb as development studies! I am sooooooo nervous.

what is your GPA and prereq, ec, essayv

Any peace and conflict studies major?

I understand the reasoning behind your nervousness, and it is well warranted. As of the January 31st grade updates, I had a 3.82 (all A’s except for 1 C in a non-prereq course I took in the summer- explained in my application). I feel I have really great ECs and essays. All in all, we’ve done all we can to put ourselves in the best position to be admitted into Haas. Hopefully (God willing!), we come away with great news Friday evening!

@Chitosiri Good luck!

@smashley93 I am development studies so we are same department with same admit rate right?

@iceburgzhang don’t sweat it. I was rejected from UCLA. But as long as I get into Cal I’m cool. My essays are pretty solid I would say at least the Haas supplemental one is, I have reasonable ECs and my gpa is around 3.8 so I think I have a chance. Hopefully this week goes by fast - November seems like so long ago.

@kio3063 gpa is 3.7-3.8 (2013 fall), volunteer and internship in developing country, volunteer in community, tutoring, i think my essay is pretty good. hope we both can get into ucb!
