@soony0107 2nd easiest, according to stats! Arts and Humanities has the highest admit rate for the College of L&S. Fingers crossed!

Although, remember, Cal does not admit by major, only by college.

i am wondering Cal admit by college, not major but they have diffetence rate for each department like art and humanity or interdisci. Which is true?

I’m not entirely sure. I know that no one is admitted to a major, and that it must be applied for individually, during your first semester. But I’ve wondered the same thing before. Certainly they must give some consideration to major, otherwise you would have art majors competing with economics majors. Doesn’t make sense.

Cant wait until Friday. But anyone knows how much Berkeley (particularly the L&S college) care about EC? I have 3.95 gpa for econ major, but I dont have many ECs because I immigrated to the U.S. 5 yrs ago, so I couldnt participate in many ECs due the language barrier.

Are 84 units too much for transfer? Will they reject me ?

And if I cannot go to Ucb, do you think ucsb or ucd has better econ programs?
Good luck everyone [-O<

@Kc9981 one of my friends got into berkeley and UCLA with no ECs and a 3.9 for econ so I’d think you’ll set. As long as you have a reasonable essay, but your gpa is great so don’t worry too much.

If Cal admits by college, how much do prereqs really matter?
Are they more lenient on prereqs compared to UCLA?

I understand that IGETC is really important to UCB.

Depends on the major I think. Because I know that Haas doesn’t accept igetc and like a 1000 people are rejected immediately for not having prerecs completed.

It wouldn’t hurt to have them even if it’s not required though

Huuuuu last 4 days!!! [-O<

@kio3063 I think they admit by major though. There are so many majors in College of L&S but it does not mean that they have the same requirements or admission standards.

Who’s applying to EECS/LSCS?

@Kc9981 I’ve been here for 3 yrs lol. Sounds like you are pretty safe cuz I have a friend who transferred in Cal with econ major 2 yrs ago. Her GPA was 3.8ish when she transferred, though grade is only part of Cal’s admission standards… Good luck!

@Chitosiri how do you know essays are 35% at Haas? Just wondering…

@conheo according to the research of CC history… most of guys who didn’t finish the IGETC but still got admitted by Cal were engineering related major… only one guy was with econ major… don’t know what did he do lol

I’m hoping IGETC weighs a lot because I focused on completing IGETC first before prereqs because I didn’t know what I wanted to major in :(

Anyone ever hear of transfers getting admitted into capped majors with missing prereqs?

Has anyone called Berkeley and asked what time admissions will be released Friday?

@Freetofly112

Yeah I think that I would fit in better at Cal also. Can’t beat the thriving LA atmosphere though. Tough decision.

T-4 days!!

@lindyk8 it’s on the Haas website here, <a href=“Admission FAQ - Undergraduate Program - Berkeley Haas”>Admission FAQ - Undergraduate Program - Berkeley Haas;
