The Official "UCLA's Decision Watered Down My Berkeley Decision" Thread...

I was accepted to both schools, something I feel extremely lucky and blessed to have had happened to me. But when I found out about UCLA I literally flipped my s h i t. But for Berkeley I'm not that terribly excited. But I don't think I'm the only one here.

I think it's because of the UCLA Acceptance but somehow my reaction to Berkeley was more subdued than I thought it would be. It also may be because now my decision isn't as clear cut as I thought it would be.

But this seems like it works for rejections too. For people who applied to both LA and Cal, whether you were accepted to both or rejected to both, are you not as surprised/disappointed/elated from Berkeley's decisions?

In any case I'm still incredibly happy and proud of everyone!!! Best of luck :)

I know what you mean. regardless Im going to go bonkers if I get into Stanford.

Oh dude… see that’s totally different (for me at least). If I get into Stanford I’m 97% sure that I’m going to cry and defecate at the same time. Something I’m sure everyone here wanted to know. LoL

Congrats anyway SFWarrior!

i was eating long…

yeah me too kinda…i am really happy and proud to have the “bragging rights” but so disappointed its for Spring admission.

UCLA’s offer is legit.

HOW AM I SUPPOSED TO CHOOSE NOW? :frowning: DAMN IT. haha

I haven’t checked my Berkeley status yet, but I’m definitely considering UCLA - I have been since just before the decisions came out for UCLA, actually. And it’s becoming an increasingly tough one. But I suppose I should check Berkeley now.

Sorry SF, I just had to share with you I guess. Enjoy your meal :)

I got into both schools for fall, but I was way more excited about hearing from UCLA. But the more I learned about both of them, I wanted to go to Berkeley. Now, I’m at a loss and pretty sure Berkeley is too expensive for me.

That’s my problem too, I’m havin a tough time choosing, but definitely leaning towards UCLA just because Downtown Berkeley bugs the crap out of me.

^^no thats the Cardinal in you refusing to set foot on Berkeley soil. hahaha. we were both made for Stanford. May 14th come now

sorry for the double but after my celebratory shots of vodka i just realized i have an awards reception to drive to. facepalm

this is so blown out of proportion. all of this. it’s cool you guys got in, but the ‘omgz loike imz gonna die if berky turns me down’ attitude is ridiculous. scoffing that the ucla decision is somewhat inferior or something. chances are that most of you didn’t have the chance get into a school like ucla or ucb out of high school, so you should be content with that and not belitle or build down ucla acceptance. just saying. that said, party on.

I feel exactly the same way. I think it’s because we heard from UCLA first.

i smell a ******bag…

Same here! Both acceptances just makes the decision harder ahhh

It didn’t. I’m heading to Cal.

Btw, I got accepted to UCLA and Cal straight out of high school.^^

I was accepted straight out of high school tooo… soo sorry mkcman.

I FEEL YOU ON THAT JANE!!!

but hey, you dont have to tell ppl…hahah

can anyone tell me what we’re supposed to do during the fall? i got rejected from ucla…and im a sprin admit 2011 for berkeley.

but im still excited.

congrats to everyone!!

It does seem to smell that way… it seems like it’s emanating from 6 posts up… sniff sniff yep that’s definitely it.

And yes, sadly the Tree in me says F Berkeley. Ahh Stanford. 20-40 out of 1400 Applications. That stat makes me sad lol
