On my app status, it just asked me to confirm my GatorLink ID and password. I think someone, somewhere is chuckling right now. Hehe.
@itstamara Welcome Tamara! Feel free to share your profile whenever you’d like, or if you’d like. Thoughts are always welcome, expressing them here does a good job of keeping the edge off our nerves.
If things are like last year, 6 PM EST on Friday is going to be mayhem on the site. Hopefully they’re ready!
Thanks @itstamara
@Jman1234 Mine was going directly into the next message too and I was freaking out! I thought they just denied me lol
Friday is too far from now! The wait is killing me.
Yea, I dont think it means anything. Other websites have similar paths for accepted students to take next steps.
New thread: What is the plan without UF?
Really nervous for this one…
It’s my top choice IF I get in…
Applied to school of journalism with a 27 ACT and 3.8 unweighted GPA, BUT I’m out of state. Hopefully my shining personality will read well in their “holistic” review of my app! I had a dream that they emailed me that my essay was “too sassy” for them…lol Any opinions on my chances?!
what do u fill out to get these messages??
@Jman1234 Rollins college!
@Hi1997 Through where you have to pay for admission, but don’t rely on that! It seems to not be true!
Admissions page, top drop down for prospective students, green box CONFIRM to pay your tuition.
i filled it out and it didn’t say i got in… it just says only admitted students can do this… why would it say some people got in and not for others… i feel like i didn’t get in now
@Hi1997 At first it said I “got in” and was able to fill out the form and then it changed after I tried to log in again. I don’t think it’s a real indicator of our decision.
First choice is definitely UF but I have Northeastern, UM, FSU, and UCF as other options
Just did it now, and it says congratulations once again, etc… But really @Hi1997 , I believe that’s just a pre-programmed page to say that. I mean, if you’re going to pay your tuition, one would expect you to be accepted, right? As for why it shows for some and not other, I’ve no idea really.
I think they fixed a glitch. It was a form response accessed through a link which was meant only for accepted students from 2014. I didn’t notice it when I did it but others in thread above say that the survey was from 2014.
And that’s also a good point, the page states it’s from 2014, as the others have said before. Don’t let this drag you down, we’re in this together bros ;D !
If I don’t pass at UF, which is definitely my top choice, then… Heck, I’m not sure actually. I’ve only applied to UF, but I think I would go to UCF or USF. I was intending to apply to FSU but the deadline flew by like a swallow in the autumn breeze.
If immigration is lenient with me in the US, I’d even considering studying in Canada, at Memorial University of Newfoundland, but that’s a stretch, in more aspects than one.
I’ve been accepted to Michigan and I only applied to UF otherwise. I feel comfortable with chances at Florida, though.
Mich appears to have tougher entry requirements (1480 75% SAT vs UF 1360). Probably safe bet. Are you in state in FL or MICH?
